Karen, thanks for the encouragement! Although I haven't lost any kilograms... I haven't gained any either. Miles, take your weight in lbs. and divide it by 2.2 to get your mass in kilograms. Or better yet, if you divide by 32, you will have your mass in English SLUGS... (I think I have the slug conversion factor right... now I will have to go verify that!) So, 220 lbs. equals 100 kg. and 6.875 slugs I like having small #'s, but it takes a lot to lose one SLUG!!! Like 32 lbs... I am impressed with the 22 miles in 90 degree temps. but PLEASE be careful... maybe you could change the time of day to a cooler time slot? If not, drink lots of water and stop if you have any pains.

Thanks for the concern, I drink plenty of water (two liters in 40 minutes). I have seen all too closely the affects of heat on the body. I was the only one of 6 people on a work crew who did not have to go to the clinic because of heat related problems. I got to do lots of first aid that day, besides work and retraining new people. I would not mind changing the times, but lunch is the only time I can get away for "me" time. In the morning I am getting the family ready for the day, at night I am busy with playing, school work, and personal time. Some mornings when I can't sleep and everyone else is, I will go for a walk. But again, thanks for the concern. Slugs.... I forgot all about those units. Miles

I didn't weigh in--I usually do it on Sat. I'm still trying but am afraid I'm not trying hard enough. We'll see.

I just got home from a football game ... USA vs. Panama in U-12 tackle football. 3 hours in 95* weather... I was dehydrated. Since I got home, I have polished off a full liter and am still thirsty. WATER sure tastes wonderful!
I LOVE WATER~I LOVE WATER~ I LOVE WATER!!!

So; good start

Kg's or pounds, or slugs, the weight is just not coming off. Two weeks of walking, eating good, and weight lifting is not doing a thing for weight wise. I know the fat is being turned into muscle, but I don't want to be this heavy with muscle. Thanks for allowing the vent. Body % is down 2+% from a couple of weeks ago. That is a plus. Miles

It is expected that you will hit a plateau. Let me think for a little bit for those plateau buster tips that are escaping me right now... I know there are several...
Just don't give up... you've already done the hardest part. Don't let yourself down now.
