I am married, 1 daughter who is 7 from a previous relationship, and my 15 year old step son lives with my husband and I. My husband adopted my daughter when she was four. My daughter has adhd, odd. and anxiet, and sleep difficulties. My step son has adhd and refuses to take medication. He was not diagnoised until he was 13. My daughter does take meds and is doing well with her adhd at this time. Anxiety, sleep, and odd is a different story. We are not doing so well in those departments. I am a nurse and recently went to part time hours in the doctors office I work in so I can be home more with my family. My husband is disabled, he has chron's disease and ankylosingspondolytis. shelli

Welcome aboard shelli!
Sounds like you have a lot on your hands. I hope that our site can provide you with some answers.
Good luck.
PS: I googled ankylosingspondolytis and came back with nothing. If you don't mind, can you tell me what that is. I have never heard of it before.

Your site has already been very helpful to me!!! I thank you so much!!! Ankylosingspondolytis is an inflammatory process in the bones (like an arthritis) that was caused by the chron's disease. The inflamation in the bowel from the chrons sets off the bodies inflamatory response. Not all chrons patients get this and some get it to varying degrees. My husband has a severe form. He has it in his back and neck, hips, shoulders, and ankles. What eventually happens is all the cartlidge that allows for flexability begins to harden, it calcifies. He has alot of pain and his bones break very easily. He is currently taking remicade infusions to keep it under control. Remicade is low doses of chemo therapy, it works by the body attacking the chemo and not his bones and bowels. That is what they kind of feel like chrons is, that the body is attacking itself(bowel) and any other area it decides to go after. Sorry so long! Shelli
