Hi all, I used the old site too since may when we found out that our middle son had adhd~inattentive. I've been married for 10 years to a wonderful man. We have 3 kids together. Oldest boy is 11, Middle boy is 9 and our youngest is a girl and she is 8. I'm happy that we still have a place to go and share and get advice. I would be lost without all the help that I've gotten from everyone on the old forum.

As I just found the roll call, just flittering around... I'm Kaiti I was at the old forum. I have 2 kids, actually I've been married to #3(haha) for 8yrs. Tara is "almost" 9, and Mikey is 6.
Mikey was dx'd almost a year ago, but my MIL warned me when he was a baby. Darn, I knew I should listen to her about somethings. ;D Have a great day! Kaiti

Hi, Im Laurie. I was on ADHD.com for close to a year, seldom posted but always read everyone's wisdom. I have been married for 26 years. We have a 23yo grad student in genetic research, 21yo college junior in marketing, & 10yo ADHD son at home with us. My goodness, I'm too old for this one ;D: Don't know what the good Lord was thinking with this one Recently had ds tested by a neurocommunication specialist & found this to be to be the best help in writing his 504. He is medicated with strattera & just now adding a little respitol for his hyperactivity & impulsivity....lots & lots of detentions from his new middle school:( He has a heart of gold & loves everyone...wish we could all be like that.

ADHD is wonderful, it has taken me this long to find my way around the new board! I was, still am, and hopefully always will be Tridlette. My brother is a bit of a twisted sort, and changed the saying, Trix are for kids into Kicks are for Trid's, and so he named me tridlette years ago just to kick me! (I think God finally figured I had enough of the kicking, and my brother was left paralyzed in a climbing accident~ even he sees the irony!)
Anyway, my name is Laurie, 38, recently dx'd with ADHD, and I take Straterra. Married 17 yrs, 3 boys, Michael "Oz", ADHD now med free is 13, Patrick "Buzz" is 11 and home schooled, Shaun "the Squirrel" is 9 and well, sad to admit but the Squirrel is so easy I can't tell you much about him because the other two take up way too much of my time. My squirrel is just a cuddly boy who can't write neatly and needs speech therapy, but he is a tender loving kid full of life!
My 2 older guys are gifted learners, and so I have become the President of our local chapter of the Pennsylvania Assoc. for Gifted Education. I have lots of resources available to me, and I will gladly help out anyone I can regardless of what state you live in!
God Bless Renee and Veronika for all they have done for THIS "family" as I have come to think of you!
Laurie

Hey All- I was BBW4EVR on the other site. Voiced my opinion many times (much to the dismay of many). Am married for 14 years - one bio child - age 21 - daughter - my husband adopted her when we got married. We have a son 10 - whom we adopted together. He was diagnosed at age 7 ADD/Epilepsy/Asbergers Syndrome. We call our daughter "Blessing" and our little guy "Angel." Life without children is like a day without snow (I love snow more than sunshine--as many of you know!) Good to be here - look forward to reading and posting!

Hi, This is the first time I've posted here, though I've been lurking for a couple of weeks. We just met with our son's doctor last week and got his diagnosis of ADHD/ODD. He's only 5 1/2; we adopted him from Russia when he was 3 years old. We're just starting to dive in to what he needs...anyone have some advice for a " TEXT"? We don't want to medicate him right away for a variety of reasons, the doctor OK'd trying some of the alternative therapy ideas and we're seeking a therapist for him. Thanks in advance...

swgiles welcome aboard!
Don't have any experience of or with alternative therapy. But I'm sure someone on this board does. This place is an excellent place for knowledge and been there, done that experience. Good luck.
