THankyou !! I personally am fine .... DH is in London today but all cellphones have been disconnected in the London Area !! It is CHAOS ... There is NO WAY into or OUT of London right now ... I did manage to speak to DH on the landline at his office (he is only a short walk away from many of the explosions) ... I have no idea if he will get home tonight ... At the office we are taking call after call with people enquiring about their kids who are there on a college trip !! ... As NO CELLPHONES are WORKING TODAY in the London area there is no way of contacting these people !! It is ABSOLUTE CHAOS !! ...

Oh Linda thankyou ... and your dh is right I am not IN London (I am about 50 miles east oif London!) ... but Oh my God I know a lot of people who DO live AND/OR work in London!! We believe we have been attacked because of winning the "Olympic Bid" yesterday !! Everyone was SOOO happy about that ... and now THIS !! ... The celebrations which were planned for winning the Olympic bid have now all been cancelled !! How can we possibly take on something like the Olympics? We have way too many problems and enemies as a country to even consider it I think!! ... How we will secure those olympics in 2012 I have no idea!!

Oh Anne, as soon as I saw the news I thought of you. Glad that you personally are OK. I hope that this is just some fluke and that you guys aren't targeted for terrorism. I saw that they were saying something about it having to do with the olympics and the IRA. I hope everything is safe for you Hubby today. If you need anything just ask.

Quote from Blair in an article I just read on MSNBC.com:
“Whatever they do it is our determination that they will never succeed in destroying what we hold dear in this country and other civilized nations throughout the world,” Blair said.
AMEN!!!

Anne, good to hear DH is o´kay I know you´re nowhere near London but as I rememeber DH work´s there(and both of your bil´s??)...I hope they are all allright. I suspected IRA and the fact that you´re getting the olympic´s..... If they would wanted to protest G8, wouldnt they be in Scotland I agree Tony at this one, they can try but they cant get us, the free democfatic world, down

He was just up with all the G8 leaders saying this attach will not soften our resolve! With all those world leaders standing behind him looking like Mr T.. "I pity the fool"...heheh Ok..Anne might not get that.. but hey it was a VERY impressive visual statement.
I also thought of Anne and her family right off! Having lost people we knew in the trade towers (my uncle worked there but wasn't at work that day) it's like taking inventory now. Off to check on English Rose!
Glad all in your family are well. I sure hope that those college students get a land line and check in! Denise

Ann:
I just heard it on the news and like Linda my first thought was you and your family. I knew you were not in London but was worried that maybe you or your family may have gone to London today for whatever reason. I am so relieved to see that you are okay as well as your family. I hope your hubby makes it home tonight. I will piggyback on what everyone has already said here since I feel the same way. My prayers, thoughts and support are with you and your country today. Having seen the fall of the Twin Towers on 911 from my office window, I know exactly how it feels to be in the vicinity of a terrorist attack<sigh> I just don't have any more words to convey my sympathies for your country and how you all must feel. Keep us posted.
Joshua
