;D acceptance sounds good to me. Portable would be good and I will take the waterpark and distillary in my backyard. All the nieghborhood kids are here all the time anyway. The only problem may be is me being unable to leave the distillary! My hubby may not like that, but then again....

once upon a time, a strong, wonderful woman searched the land and found a beautiful eden-like valley where her dreams of building a new home came to fruition. she staked out the boundaries, making sure that the best views and most fertile grounds were included. after securing the land, Veronika invited one and all to join her there. her only request was that all live in harmony. as more people moved to this town called Acceptance, a man named ralph was nominated to lead them. because of his heart and his inspiring ideas, Acceptance grew faster than any other village in the land. their first project was to build a smooth stone church where the lessons of the Bible were learned and lived. Every citizen took delight in selecting the stones from the nearby streams and contributed them to the project. each sunday became a celebration of love, and the church was called, Community Tradition. all faiths and creeds gathered together to share the love and worship. Next, the people drew up plans and built their children a school and they called it Success. The teachers worked joyously inspiring the children to fulfill and exceed their personal goals and dreams. technology, hands-on curriculums, and multi-modal learning did away with the need for IEPs and special classes. The children were never late for school, nor were they absent. the learning process became they're number one form of excitement and replaced the old habits of television, electronic games, and outside stimulation. they learned how to tap into their own power and use it to create astounding projects, medical advances, and artistic inventions that helped the land of Acceptance flourish. one of their fiirst projects was a super library and research center. HooDunnit was asked to be the mentor. He gladly accepted and as he cut the blue ribbon on opening day, invited everyone to visit the center anytime day or night. He dedicated the center to all who seek answers and called it Knowlege. and as the boundaries of Acceptance grew and the population increased, so did the joy! neigboring villages begin to spring up. first Brotherhood, then Golden Rule, and pretty soon the town of Love opened up across the mountain range from them. on Acceptance's first anniversary, the children presented a surprise to Veronika, Mayor Ralph and all the wonderful folks who served on the founding board. for weeks, they designed, built and decorated a very special piece of art to be presented. a golden life-size statue of Renee was erected in the village square so that all could remember their ancestoral mother. and each year thereafter, another gift was given to the people of Acceptance. theme parks, paintings, inventions, a teleporter machine, and the cure for cancer were given by the children who lived and loved in the very special place called Acceptance. and they all lived happily ever after. and this was called Faith and Justice.

All of your ideas are awesome! I would love a town like that! On my wish list I would like to add just a few things. No one in the town would ever give you that "look" like what is wrong with you and your child. No one would ever suggest that your kids are themselves due to bad parenting. No one would ever refer to our kids as "special" in the demeaning way. Everyone would be special in thier own way. There would be no need for meds b/c everything would be tailored to our kids. It would be perfectly acceptable to hear loud outbursts in a resturant and the other parents would give you a hand with rambuncious kids not just a "look." Everyone would have wonderful self-esteem and no one would ever be ashamed. It would be a beautiful town ;D Ralph would be a wonderful mayor and I want to be the law enforcement. I think it would be lots of fun to ticket people who didn't live by the rules of Acceptance. Plus I would get to drive a cop car with lights on top, but no tickets for people in their dream cars! Only for people who were "unappecting." Oh, and I would be taller. I always wondered what it was like to be over 5' 2" tall!

Sheriff Honeysmom, I'll put in the purchase order for your police car. ;D What type would you like?
When people who are unaccepting come to Acceptance, we will treat them with kindness and understanding, hoping to enlighten them. If they still don't "get it", then you can ticket them and escort them out of town.

1mom, that is so beautiful! And I'm really glad to hear that Sheriff HoneysMom won't give me a ticket in my little red BMW Z4 on my way to the ice cream shop for my Toasted Almond with a shot of Bailey's...this is sounding better and better!

Imom;
Thank You so much for that. I, too, cried. I needed to be reminded after this holiday season, that I am not alone. You have such a wonderful gift.
Acceptance is the place to call home, I agree. Do you think we could have an "Understanding Parade" once a year for those who tourist thru our town? Have a peaceful day, Christina
