I can't stand the word sorry any more...Elizabeth says it all the time right after she does somthing, But then 2 mins later she is doing the same thing that she was just sorry for!

one thing you might want to try is to change the old generic "sorry, mom" to a more meaningful, and hopefully, teaching phrase. tell your adhd'er to be more specific: instead of 'sorry', it has to tell the 'why' and the 'because'. "i'm sorry i left my shoes by the back door, because you expect me to put them in my room." or "i'm sorry i screamed at ted, because screaming is against the rules, and i don't like it when someone screams at me." it takes a bit of practice, but its usually successful. whether they really get the lesson by repetition, or they simply get tired of repeating such a long "sorry", i don't know. prayers, 1mom
