I think the last time we got gas.....yesterday.....it was around $2.42/gal. thanks Kaiti, I was going to call you later and check the price. I am going to my parents, and I was trying to decide which side of the river to get gas... It is 2.61 at WaWa this morning. I am going to NJ and let them pump for me for less than I would have to pay for self serve here!

What is really wretched is the higher the gas price goes then everything has to go up ...even milk and bread. If we could car pool ...we would but Bobo works 12 miles in the opposite direction...atleast hopefully after summer maybe the prices will lower..have to be optomistic.

I hope the price goes down, we have oil heat, and, um, we ran out in Let's see, January, Feb. AND Mar.......that last time, we didn't ever get anymore......got to be over $2.00 a gallon.....so we suffered with candles and the stove..........yeah I know not safe, but we couldn't afford to get anymore. I'm abotu ready to call in a favor from the oil company's owner's wife, she told me she would give it to us for the 1000 gal price.......boy I hope I see her soon Heck when we first got a separate truck for me, when we would go to the club, we would still only take one.....one of the guys asked Mikewhy he was sitting around waiting for me, when he could have brought both vehicles. HMMMMMM, they aren't asking anymore

Andy has been talking lately about buying a motorcycle froma guy he works with. The only thing that scare me about that though is the time of morning he goes in and the deer. He hit a deer one morning in his company truck and messed it up pretty bad. Had he been on a motorcycle he probably wouldn't have survived.... so I told him the higher gas cost was worth it for me to keep him around a bit longer. I'm kinda attached to the guy for some reason. LOL

cat, depends on the day as to whether i'd buy dh a motorcycle!!! i do have a question to ask about charges on a gas card that you don't make. we noticed it last month and it's very obvious this month so have now cancelled the acct and reopened a new one. i have my card, have not lost it but according to the bill, some weeks i buy $25-35 of three times a week, all from the normal station i buy from. we just got a bill for over $600 for one month. now i did buy gas twice at my mom's and those are listed but i don't fill up right before or after here because it's cheaper there so i fill up before i come home. this bill shows that i did both after one of the trips to mom's. all i can think of is that someone has gotten hold of our acct number and if they keep buying at the same station, it won't get caught right away. so we're now going to keep every receipt and then we'll have some proof to dispute the charges. we'd like to dispute some of these charges but have no idea which ones are really our charges. since we still have all our cards, the card company doesn't think there is any other way for someone to get hold of the number. i only work part time and no longer run my kids around. some weeks i can even make it almost 2 weeks without filling up if i don't run around much. so to gas up three times in one week, just isn't possible for me. so beware of whatever this scam is. karen

I've cut my gas bill(heating gas) majorly by using Tide cold water!! The bill was like only 37$ last month! That is like a third of what it usually is! I couldn't believe it! Hey more money for regular gas for my vacation!
WE are buying groceries more at our local Giant Eagle.. they offer 10 cents off a gallon at their gas station per 50$ spent on groceries. so that helps too! You just let it add up and fill up when it gets good!! Denise

Gas went up .26 while i waited at the pump today...by this evening it is suppose to be 3.50 and by tomorrow they are saying 4.00. I hope the govenor steps in (not likely). Price gouging because of Katrina. Taking advantage of us like they did on 911 and with all those poor people down there not even knowing if they have a home or not...when the price of gas goes up ..so does everything..such a shame..these fuel companies should be made to behave.

Karen, most definately keep a journal o rreciept something or another......keep it all together, for whoever drives the vehicles, make them initial the purchase when they make it and make the attendant initaial it. Sounds dumb, but who do you think profits when we are traveling and the company cars don't reimburce I'd be having a fit. What getsme is tha tthe local guy here has the 3 grades of gas, plus deisil and kerosene. Has to pay UPFRONT $20,000 a tank...... :othat's over $100,000 for a small independant station that has keptthe prices aboutthe norm......maybe 4 cents higher than Wawa And the Company is going to penalize him and us? I have to get gas to have gas.......about 10 miles out of town He is loosin gbusiness because the other guy i sbeing greedy from my stand point.....the distributer.....which IO heard is the same way with cattle farmers and milk producers.........it's the big names that takethem down. Sorry for the rant, getting tired of all this stuff

Kaiti believe it or not that is what is happening to alot of independant stations and 9 times out of 10 this same distrubitor serves the big companies that sell their gas for a cheaper rate. This is one of the main reasons the station I worked for sold out to a bigger company~~~the gas station business is getting to be unbelievable and for every gallon we sell we only make 2-3 cents a gal. It is the products in the store that get our profits that is why you are seeing many gas stations getting into the fast food business~~just to attract more business. Sorry I could go on as this is what I do everyday. Our gas right now is 274.9/gal and that has come down in the last week but I think as of tomorrow it wil go up because of Katrina (thats what my customers today said anyways).

What makes me upset is the gas that is already paid for by the little guys here..and already in the tanks underground DID NOT cost what they are charging...even when I know they are only making a penny per gallon and for them to raise the price as you stand there HOLDING the nozell just isnt fair. If they have to pay more for the next tanker full...then when it is in the ground they should charge me more..not untill...Last time they gouged the prices they all got fined. The big companys ..before long they will have it monopolized and we wont have any more small business guys left. Oh it is so infuriating ...especially when you know that when Katrina is over and things are back to normal ...greed will take over their little souls (and I do mean twisted dried up and little) and they wont lower the price back to where it used to be. I actually felt sorry for the little girl that worked at the gas station...people were acting like she owned the oil company yelling and complaining at her..she probably gets part time minimum wage at best...

I have a full size Dodge Ram 1500SLT quad cab Hemi , up here it costs me about 60.00 to fill the tank, and thats at 2.80 a gallon. Because I have a hemi engine in it, I can only use High Test gasoline, which bites the big one. lol I havent changed my driving habits, nor tend to. NOT with 3 kids in the house all who have ADHD , my truck is my ROCK ;)and eascape fixture from the daily grind around here. Take my keys away and you might as well shoot me now. ;D
