Karen, I hear you about buying clothes. I buy in the petite section and I get sooooo angry. Whoever makes petite clothes think we all have a problem keeping our pants up. Every pair in the petite section have elastic waistbands! It really frosts me!!
Don't let anyone kid you about menopause, girls. It's a piece of cake! OR maybe I was so worked up trying to take care of ds, it was the least of my worries. Sure, hot flashes, but so what! I took hrt for one year and that was about the time that it was recommended to NOT take estrogen, so I went off it. No big deal. Truly, ninety-nine percent is attitude.

What kind of workout are you doing? It is just weight lifting? Pilates? Cardio?
Right now I am about 157 lbs. I should be no more than 120 lbs and that is the upper edge of being the correct weight. I stared out about 185. I try to walk 3-5 miles a day. 3 miles doesnt do much, but when I have time to consistantly do 5 miles, I loose weight. I am not much for the weights and stuff, but the walking does help.
You might just want to try to change your workout. Doing something different can shock your body into loosing weight again. You also dont want to stop eating. Eat many small meals or eat fruit in between meals. That will actually boost your motabilizm.

What kind of workout are you doing? It is just weight lifting? Pilates? Cardio? I do 15 minutes on an elliptical in the morning and I about 40-45 minutes at Curves in the evening while Cami is at swim practice. This is my nornal weekday workout and doesn't count the time I may spend push-mowing our acre yard, or weeding, or trimming bushes, or washing my vehicle, or vacuuming it, or cleaning my house... ;D ;D ;D...this is my weekend exercise. As far as changing up, I've done that frequently. Curves was the last change I made when I joined there. I used to do 30 minutes on my elliptical in the morning followed by various exercises in the evening..alternating between Denise Austin lower body and upper body workouts, along with an ab machine I have. So, noone can accuse me of not losing due to laziness! ;D ;D ;D ;D It was suggested to me by a trainer that I add protein to my diet since I am trying to tone muscle. So, I start on a protein shake when I first get up at 5 and finish it while on my elliptical. Then I usually have breakfast between 7:30 and 8:30 am. It is usually a slimfast bar and yogurt, or a english muffin and a boiled egg. Lunch is usually around 12:30 - 1:30 and is usually another slimfast bar or something small like a roast beef sandwich, or Subway sandwich, or p=butter sandwich on wheat brought from home. I can't say this is everyday ...I do eat out with friends about once a week for lunch in which I stray some. Dinner is usually around 5-5:30 and is my biggest meal of the day. Then it's off to Cami's swim practice and my Curves workout. Home to fold clothes, help Cam finish homework, then hit the bed exhausted about 9:30. This is my typical M-F day....so again, noone can call me lazy! I just have a slow metabolism curse I guess.
