Isn't it funny how they are all different.
We had a girl a SACC who was ADD.....I never knew she was until her mom told us to watch for a mood swing due to a med change.
Well, since her mom was actually my HS Health teacher, the girl was quite comfortable explaining the birds and bees ---with proper terms----to the boys.......just to gross them out ;D ;D

i don't know, it never really bothered me much to talk to my kids. i always explained whatever was on tv at a level i thought they could understand. it's the same way i've talked to them their entire lives. something on tv, news or regular show, they'd come home and mention stuff about other kids, they'd ask any number of questions. i've talked to both dd and ds. chris still feels more comfortable talking to me about most things and rarely talks to his dad. brittany tries not to talk to either of us but will normally talk to me quicker about this kind of thing. so we're all pretty open. miles, you wouldn't happen to be in the 40's? when my kids still watch some of the sitcomes from the 70's & 80's they can't believe what they can say on tv! of course it was all innuendo but that's how i grew up. it still pops out on ocassion. ed yells at me becuase it's not really appropriate. i know it's not but where as when i was young, we talked directly to each other when we were making smart comments. now it's just a general comment, not aimed at anyone. i think those of you who aren't talking to your kids when the opportunity is there, are really missing out on a great chance to teach them soemthing important. karen

DS hasn't asked a lot of questions yet, but he's getting closer. Watching the video of him in the hospital just after he was born has sparked a few questions, though. DD is just too curious. What I was thinking about in my last post was a conversation we had. I will tell you that it ended by her basically saying that I look like a 2-hump camel. ;D ;D

:)Well we now have a discussion going as to where the migraines come from. Gyn says hormonal but they always occur right after my allergy shots. Allergy Dr says no it can't be the allergy shots. Had another one friday just 7 hrs after my shot while I was driving down a 8 lane tollway coming back from out of town. 3 times they have come after allergy shots. 3 times had to eat several fiorecet to make them go away. All I know is I'm not having any more allergy shots. It's probably going to be tomorrow or the next day before the pain completely goes away.
