It's not the pain killer, it's the water Oh the things people think. ???You know I am just kidding. I believe in pain killers....especially during delivery time ;D Seriously for a second. When I used to take this anti inflammatory for my knees-*tendonitis in 10th grade*-my ears would ring really bad. So I think that since then, I have found other ways to help any pain that I am in without using medication. We tried cutting the dose, something OTC, my ears would still ring And it wouldn't help the pain in my knees if my ears weren't ringing. SO I gave up

birth control pills gave me migraines. and yes, you'll know if you get them! it's always behind one eye for me. i'd stop taking them until a newer pill would come out with lower hormones that caused it. and the cycle would repeat itself. i can sometimes tell when one is coming and caffeine can help stop it before it gets full blown. i used to take a prescription caffeine type pill but have learned to drink a bottle of pop if i feel it coming. i can also tell that sometimes if it's later than normal when i eat, i'll get one. not all the time but i've learned to feel when it's coming. also not enough sleep somedays. not always. i'm also in that peri-menopause, hot flashes and periods both! you know if men had them, there'd already be a switch to shut it off when you're done having kids! i'll take hot flashes over periods any day of the week! karen

You just reminded me. I feel like a teenager again that time of the month, I swear I have more zits now then I had, wait, no I was bad at one point. But you get the idea. I'm just waiting for Tara to ask about them....that time of the month. We were watching LOOK WHO"S TALKING TOO the night before last. Well, dummy me forgot about sperm and egg in the beginning. Mikey asked what those little tadpoles were :oI told him I wasn't sure, but I bet daddy would know ;D ;D ;D

I always thought I could be the good mom and explain and yadda, yadda, yadda. BUT to my defense, Mike told me that it when it came to those things, I deal with Tara and he'll deal with Mikey Well, can't she say that in a medical term or something. The more complex the term the harder it is for them to pronouce at a Sunday dinner with the whole family ;D ;D ;D

Ohhhh, Nate knows more anatomy and physiology than any 38 year old I know. Yep, we explain it with all the correct terms. But for now, he hasn't asked how the baby comes out of Mommys. It is just enough for him to know that babys grow inside of Moms. Tune in next week. Miles

It is much easier to discuss this stuff with the third son than it was/is with the first one!
With Michael, I have to talk when we are alone in the car, in the dark, when he can't see my face and I can talk freely.
With Shaun, he just started asking this summer, while it was just the two of us, in the backyard swimming pool at 3 in the afternoon... I just talked... no embarrassment, no hiding... and I think he now knows MORE than the other two combined.
I wish I could talk as comfortably with Michael. Patrick has a very sensitive streak, and he won't ask. He gets a bit flustered when I talk. Michael just gets that bored, glossy deer-in-the-headlight look. Shaun is mesmerized!
They are all so different. At least none of them will have to deal (directly) with menopause! Male hormone spike is awful enough!
