It's the anxiety in me. I am instant panic in those situations. I can't stand to be late and turn into a basket case. Better to be sure I leave the house with cell phone, maps and directions, and as mentioned, will ask for directions. I am thinking of getting one of those GIS for cars. Too cool. Miles

I never realized that I was in the minority. I even stop and ask for directions. Why waste time pretending I know what I am doing when it goes so much faster to read the directions someone else took the time to figure out. No sense in tooling around town looking for something, when I could hop out of the car and ask. My wife jokes that I am the only male in the world that does that. Miles Miles, don't feel alone. I have to say that my dh is good at asking for directions and looking at them. When we are in stores looking for something he'll seek out a store employee quicker than me. To him it's a waste of time to look around when he can just ask someone.

He'll stop and ask for driving directions too if he sees he has gotten turned around. He doesn't like to do anything that will waste his time...so if there are instructions, he'll read them, if there are directions needed, he'll get them. But then again, he was raised by a woman without father's input . LOL

My DH is usually pretty good about asking directions, but last summer we were driving up to PA and were going to visit my brother in MD on the way. Well, we had directions on how to get to my brother's city and how to get to his house from a certain point, but there was a gap between those 2 sets of directions, and we couldn't figure out where we were supposed to go. Here we were at a fast food restaurant in my brother's city and DH was about to give up. I finally suggested that we ask someone for help. We did still have a little trouble, but did get to see my DB.
I think DH just wanted to get to his parents' house and didn't want to take up any more time (we had a traffic delay around DC).

Miles, my husband was born in a city....but has the mountain man heart.....he is very laid back and sometimes it drives me crazy. Not that I am NOT, but come on, after we drove in circles between 2 of the bridges on the way back to his uncles.........he didn't want to stay for the fireworks......
he "said" because he wasn't sure of the way back. :-*in the dark And I know even though it is illegal, some people still drink WHILE driving. I don't go for that AT ALL.......especially with the kids and me in the vehicle
He just wanted a beer ::)But we almost got to see the fireworks by the time he hit the right ramp.
Hey Linda, does the TV work yet? ;D
We had to call tech support for the cable company when Mike decided to rearrange some ofthe wires when he hooked up the dvd player.

I's send Mike over, but by the time he got there, the TV would probably be out the window ;D ;D
So what's wrong with it again? oh, not sure ;D ;D

I think part of the problem is Paul's br is too close to ours and it is bouncing channels from his tv to ours...when his is not on we get NOTHING
