wouldn't that be fun!!! i think it would be the adhd kids who'd get thrown overboard!!! and yes, i know we'd all throw them life preservers but it's a nice thought for a second or two!!! this really is a great place because i spent the first several years of brittany's adhd all alone. i have a real appreciation for what a difference this family has made! karen

Ditto to Kaiti I´am expecially thankfull of finding this kind of a support even being kind of "an outsider" i.e. non-american, non-english person. you´ve all have been so wonderfull for me too As far as meeting: that would be fun... noisy and exhausting, but fun... I think, that after first bit more silent minut´s, we would start talking and mingling and ....it would be an never ending talk, talk, talk..... I met Anne and I know she´s one of my best friend´s for now on, it´s amazing how well you can get to know one on line....

My Mom-mom had a sign outside her door for hte longest time. THERE ARE NO STRANGERS, JUST FRIENDS WE HAVEN'T MET.
I like to think in that mentality. And the good thing here is that there isn't any international borders we need a visa to cross into, so Marja, your my neighbor.
;Djust don't callt he police when we have a big party ;D

What I enjoy the most about this family is the variety of life. We have people from all over the world with different experiences, climates, and children. The one bond we all share is the love for our children and wanting the best for them. There may be a reason that our children are who they are, because it was meant to be so that we could share those experiences, and help others. And when needed, be a shoulder to lean on. I am thankful for the one person years ago, who decided to take the chance and start a world of our own to start sharing this. I am thankful for all of the people who are led here to help their children, and themselves. I cannot express enough the thanks for support, the laughs we have shared, and making us feel like we are special and important. Miles

I whole-heartedly agree!
I completely agree with this too! I find it fascinating that although we ARE from all over we all have this common bond... the challenge of raising our ADHD child. It's like the feeling people get..that "this could never happen to me" and then when it does we see it actually can happen to anyone, anywhere.
I also just love to hear about other places in the country and world. I love to hear what schools are like there, schedules, weather, life in general. Being that I have lived in Georgia my entire life I like to hear what it's like to live in England, Finland, and even far north where the climate can be so different at times. I miss the talks I use to have with Barry about life in Canada. It used to amaze me to hear him speak of the five feet of snow there and think of how children go to school in that. Here everything closes if we get a dusting. ;D
Anyway, I do like the differences in my family members here. It keeps it very interesting. Variety is the spice of life after all! hehe

I think we all are quite amazing parent´s we´ve started looking for help and support and we´re not afraid to share our experience, so A BIG HAND FOR US I also like to hear about life in other place´s, althought the general way of life is not so much different since we all live in democratic, western countrie´s(all the activ one´s at least)... mayby that make´s interacting in here so easy, we share the same pro´s and con´s. Btw, we dont need to have visa to enter U.S. for a short (3 month´s) visit, Finland(and England) bolong´s to those countrie´s concidered as "friendly, neighbour´s"

Dang, tried finding lyrics and it blanked out my page Rascal Flats has a song, and I believe it is the chorus that goes :"God blessed the broken road that lead me straight to you" I love that song.

Kaiti, is this the one??
We Are Family Sister Sledge
(CHORUS:) We are family I got all my sisters with me We are family Get up ev'rybody and sing
Ev'ryone can see we're together As we walk on by (FLY!) and we fly just like birds of a feather I won't tell no lie (ALL!) all of the people around us they say Can they be that close Just let me state for the record We're giving love in a family dose
(CHORUS x2)
Living life is fun and we've just begun To get our share of the world's delights (HIGH!) high hopes we have for the future And our goal's in sight (WE!) no we don't get depressed Here's what we call our golden rule Have faith in you and the things you do You won't go wrong This is our family Jewel
(REPEAT CHORUS TO FADE)
