What are everyone plans for the 4th of July weekend? I lucked out yesterday~~my co-worker wants my Sunday hours so now I will have Fri-Sat-Sun off. My dh has to work Sat but we might still do something like watch a demo-derby with fireworks afterwards. I wish we could go camping but we can't so we put our pop-up trailer up and the kids can use that for a camp-out. Oh the best part~~~~~I will be going to some yard sales this weekend.....I'll find some lost treasure yet ;D ;D

My step brother will be here from the Marines. He gets out on the 7th, but has leave to come and pick up my dads truck to move his "stuff". He will be here for about 2 days this weekend, so we are having a bar-b-que for him. In Sept he starts college to be an orthodontist, so this will be a welcome home party and good luck in college party.

:)Hey sportsmom! Haven't seen a demolition derby in years! Boy you can get out aggressions just watching one of those. Having a bar-b-que lunch at my mother's assisted living center at noon and going to my SIL's house to watch fireworks that evening.Just so glad to have 3 days off.

Anne, Don't you have some holiday over there to celebrate your country? How about some Kings and Queens Days? Just curious Miles Hi Miles !! We DOOO have what we call "bank holidays" throughout the year ... but these ALL seem to be "government orientated" and NOT royalty orientated!! .. e.g. we have 2 Monday's in May and one in August as "national holidays" ... and do you know I have to actually go LOOK to see why we have these holidays !! (Isn't that terrible!!?? ;D) .... Dh says he thinks they come from the Industrial Revolution ... I gotta go and look ... and will report back !! ;D

Was planning to go to the parents house for their neighborhood thing, but 2/3 cars (the 3rd being mostly for 4 wheeling and I refuse to ride in it) bit the dust yesterday and are getting fixed. So, now that are cars are dead, we will probably stick around the house. At least our town has a good fireworks show. One of the best in the state.

Anne, you can celebrate that your country no longer has the burden of taking care of us! ;D
BTW, at DD's daycare, they talked about England today, and she was all excited because they had a tea party. She said she didn't like the tea, though. ;D
