:DI just wanted to share something that really has nothing to do with anything. Did you ever get a little down and think well, this is the life I was dealt? What am I supposed to do with it? Well, to quote who ever WHEN LIFE GIVES YOU LEMONS, MAKE LEMONADE. The other day I got a shipment from a company that I sent upc's too. Well, it was a dvd player. We already have one so as I was talking to a friend, she said her daughter had a bunch of dvd's but they didn't have a player....her husband is a bit of a fuddy duddy...they don't have cable even... Anyhow, she picked it up yesterday and was hooking it up when I called. She couldn't quite get it to connect since their TV isn't cable ready..so Mike helped her through it.....hopefully it works through tthe VCR. Anyhow, this morning I woke up and came downstairs. I almost had a cow because there was a computer sitting in the foyer. I thought Mike may have gotten sick of this one, so I immediately looked for this.....low and behold it was ANOTHER computer Mike just called a bit ago and said that the guy who picks him dropped it off because his daughter got a new one and he didn't want that one going to waste. I just feel so blessed that I want to say thank you to you all for letting me ramble. It gets a little lonely not working during the summer......can you tell ;D Besides, I see that Trid was on a bit ago.....we need to get together one of these days ............ And visit walmart ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

You might see if there is a habitat for humanity store in your area. You can get things pretty cheap there. I got a stove for a small donation. It isnt new, but it works a heck of a lot better than my old one. I just had to go pick it up.

Isn't that amazing Kaiti! You give so unselfishly and then get the same in return. Does this mean we're going to get double the posts now? LOL

Kaiti, why didn't you mention earlier that you are home all summer? The boys are away this whole week, come home tomorrow. Michael earned (at least I think he earned) his Shot Gun Merit Badge this week! Last week he taught Archery for the Cub Scouts! I have 2 small plates and a bowl for your china set, sitting on my counter... and an extra bathroom scale waiting for you, too. I see Stoves all the time at the thrift shop, where I found your china. It is rather big to pick up and hold for you... so maybe you need to come visit ME with your canning supplies and we can do the canning in my kitchen. The kids can drown in the pool and leave us alone all afternoon, and if it will take more than one day, well... that is what the camper is for! I am waiting for the Comcast guy to come install my new phone service! That means that I will have Digital phone service. Which means, unlimited free long distance! I can call you and we can talk a whole lot longer and it won't cost us!!! OH, the only thing with coming here to do the canning... you have to teach me how to cook SOMETHING, ANYTHING! DH is getting awfully tired of cooking burgers on the grill 365 days a year! PLEASE come see me... no excuses about the Schuylkill, I can get you here without you ever seeing it. The only toll is to cross the Delaware. PLEASE!

The Schuylkill Expressway, is I-76 from Valley Forge to Philadelphia. Schuykill is pronounced (skoo kill) or around here we call it the "sure kill distress way".
It is an ugly, barely 2 lanes each way wide road with the cement barriers on both sides, no breakdown lane, and a million commuters impatiently using it every day. NOT A FUN ROAD.

On the topic of truly blessed, I just wanted to say that I have been blessed with a fantastic, funny, compasionate, wife who puts up with me good and bad. I also have been blessed with a son who I could not imagine life without. He has more good in his little finger, than most people show in a lifetime. Yes, I have been blessed. Have a good weekend, I am off to enjoy my family. Miles

Along with the blessed theme, I have a little old lady neighbor that I take care of. Mowing the lawn, changing light bulbs, etc.
I took my little old lady neighbor to one of the local casinos yesterday. She loves going and since she is a card holder she gets free dinners and things like that. We got there right before they were having a drawing for $100. You had to fill out a small card with name and address and put it in a tumbler thing. I filled out both and put them in the thing.
They were pulling names out and at 9 my neighbor was ready to go gamble. Well, #10 was me. I was happy. Then they have a wheel you can spin to get more cash if you are there to claim your prize. I spun and won another $400. I was shocked. We were really short on cash and that money paid several bills.
