???Well, I don't know whether to be happy or upset, but Mikey broke his glasses again. :-*That part I am upset with, BUT we got back from the eye doctor this morning and his new pair should be in next week The happy part? I told the opthamologist that we needed something more durable, and he picks up a pair, twists them, bends them, twists them again :DWe like these ones.....only they are going to run us $90. Which is actually alot better then I heard a price for a few years ago. Hopefully this will get him concetrating a bit better and not struggle so much. I never realized how much of a difference the glasses made. He hasn't been BAD persay, just ansy, and very unfocused. Can't say as I blame him if he can't see Oh well, just wanted to let you all know that he will be getting a job this year ;D ;D ;DJust kidding

Linda, I don't know if he saw them bend or not, but if I see HIM bending them We do have insurance, but the frames weren't covered. >:(We had already used up our alotment of fixes I guess. ::)Seriously though, at least the lenses were covered..heck, we got the need for coke bottles over hear. I give Mike my glasses when he needs a magnifying glass ;D ;D ;D Mom, usually, (and I noticed the same thing for me and that's how I noticed)Mikey can focus and think clearer. I do the same thing as well. If I am working on something special, detail oriented, or spreadsheets, I will put my glasses on so I can concentrate better. We have an astigmatism in our left eye, renduring it basically useless without glasses. Only I don't have mom harping me to wear my glasses anymore.......Oh wait, she did last week ;D ;D ;D Keep a watch as to when he is wearing his glasses and his behavior. Jot it down in a journal and see if there is a difference.

I officially gave up on Jared wearing his glasses..he takes them off the minute he leaves my sight...so I put the hardshell glasses case with them in it inside his back pack..he will eventually realize he needs them and put them on. Let the teachers convince him for a change.

Alex went to see my daughter's eye specialist for a second opinion, (I hated the doc we saw) and it turns out he's not farsighted, he's nearsighted! Children need their eyes dilated for accurate prescriptions. I thought all docs did that... I want to smack that idiot doctor...

glasses should be magnetic and stick to them.. ;D the last pair Jared lost we finally came to the conclusion he had buried them somewhere...that is one reason I just leve them in the book bag.. ;D ;D if he really needs them he will give in eventually. A better question is how did you get him to fall asleep while you had company..... ;D ;D ;D Ineed to know.

;D ;D Kaiti you have to answer M/C's question !! ... we ALL want to know!! ;D ;D Back to the glasses ... OMG !! ... These were the BANE of our lives when Sam was smaller ... !! He then gave up wearing them altogether and nothing would persuade him to wear them in High School!! But back in primary school I sure wish they had had those bendy glasses then!! Finally now Sam is old enough for contact lenses .. and he is VERY KEEN !! ... so I need to make the appointment ... BUT it seems this sudden keeness is because he has heard you can get them in different colours!!
