Linda, Ok, I have to admit, I didn't know it. No car for me.

OK-
I have been thinking about this one since the post went up--and I am still thinking! I don't even live in a town-it is a village-population 634!
Let's see, my mother-in-law lives across the street. My husbands best friend (since childhood) lives across the street. We live in the house the first depot master built in 1940. We have great Christmas decorations on our lawn. We live about 40 miles NE of Minneapolis/St. Paul.
Can anyone top that? ;D

Well, I am guessing Wisconsin is all about food, and probably beer!!
I grew up in Little Chute Wisonsin. That is the home of the Great Wisconsin Cheesefest. It is a GREAT time. They have all sorts of fattening displays, cheese curd eating contests, cheesecake contests and lots of beer. It is also known for a sore spot between Wisconsin and Rome, NY. They had a "cheese off" in 1988 when NY was declared the cheese capitol of the world or something. Little Chute went to NY to challenge them and lost so they claimed it was rigged, then NY came to us and lost so NY said it was rigged. It is also the home of Simons Cheese. (Family owned Cheese Factory) They made the largest block of cheese in the world, (as big as a semi trailer) until a few years ago when some corporation, I think my arch enemy K^&@t, made a bigger one.
Now I live in Alma Center, strawberry capitol of Wisconsin. Strangest thing, I have been here since July and I still haven't found those darn strawberries.
