;DHello fellow metroplexites!I live in Richardson Texas. It is next to Plano just northeast of Dallas. It's one of those towns where you cross the street and you are in a different town. Isn't high five construction wonderful??? I work just west of downtown Dallas and have 1 beautiful talented ADHD daughter that will be 10 in august. I too am raging ADHD and am the 4th generation in my family that I know of. It has RAINED here for what seems like weeks and if I start seeing animals going 2X2 I wouldn't be surprised.

WestTexas is dry all though it too is threatening to float away with all this rain. North east Texas is usually hot and humid(think Louisana) this time of year but we have surpassed all record rainfalls for the month of June. My rose's love it but my dog doesn't. He won't go to the bathroom when it is raining. I have to take him outside and hold an umbrella over him. I think he has sensory overload problems too! ;D ;D ;D

Dear loveforeric, How is Phoenix doing? I spent 20 years of my life there. Graduated West High School(19th ave and Thomas Rd, no longer in existance) in 1975. Went to U of A in Tucson. Worked at St. Joseph's. I shouldn't complain about the rain. When it is 118 degrees and the soles of your shoes get soft if you stand in one spot too long, all that you think about is a little blessed rain. Everyone says"Oh it's a dry heat ! Well so is my oven, but that doesn't mean I stick my head in it! ;D ;D ;D

Welcome Iansmom, I have always loved the name Ian.... Hope it's not to bad weather wise for you yet Kaiti Thank you! The weather is more like the Louisiana summers that I grew up with. Rains every day But it's not too bad. Just wish there were a sunny weekend coming soon so we could go to the beach.

We were thinking abut going to the beach, except being 4th of July weekend, nope. We are only about an hour away, so we're close enough to make a couple days trips.
Take care

I've never been to an east coast beach except for Florida. An hour away sounds wonderful! Its a two hour drive to the closest beaches but if you want to get pretty beaches you have to drive 4 hours and the closest one is Gulf Shores, AL. I don't mind the drive though because those are glorious beaches and the water is bath-tub warm. I am CRAVING it! I haven't been at all this year yet. Happy Fourth!

I would LOVE to go to a beach on the gulf, yeah, that would be a long haul for me We can actually swim in the Delaware River. It's not too bad, that's only about 15 minutes away. When we go fishing I usually wear something that can take getting wet and I'll sit in the water for a little bit if it gets too hot ;D

I've never been to A.C. or the Jersey Shore, and I've never gone swimming in the Delaware! Maybe we can plan a swim after my surgery? Laurie

For shame Laurie YUP after your surgery and all wounds are healed, I'll take you swimming in the water. Just make sure to have bread bags over any casts. ;D
