Pout, Pout, Sniff, Sniff! Any chance you can Fed. Ex. some flakes my way??? I will be in Valley Forge for 2 days, then heading to the family Thanksgiving Festivities in Plymouth Plantation! For all you history buffs, Valley Forge may have been brutal in 1777, but when I moved here, Jan. 1, 2000 it was 70*, sunny, and I was barefoot. Plymouth is a barren desert wasteland and it is ugly this time of year! But, I think snow is beautiful and I want my share!!!!!!! Laurie

Jorgy, You must be in Wisconsin like me. I am really close to MN. It is so cold here not even Honey is trying to escape from the house. Now that is a change from this summer when I had to lock him into the house!! ;D
We just moved here in July. Originally I am from the lakeshore in WI. It is way, way colder on this side of the state. No lake to regulate the temps. We live in a really old (and little) house and it has a wood furnace. This is also new to me. What a pain getting up in the night to add wood to it!! I think this is the first year I am dreading winter.

Snow? What's that? JK-we get it occasionally here in Northwest Arkansas(but just enough to look pretty), it's usually just a few degrees too warm and we end up getting ice storms! We had one a coupla years back, electricity was out where I lived for 8 days!!! We don't know what a REAL winter is, so nobody's prepared, including the utility companies. It was terrible, we had utility trucks coming from 10 different states to help out.

tinkerbell, see the "How to put a picture in a post" under "How to? FAQ's...." section.
Veronika originally posted it when we were all having problems posting our kids pictures in the the "getting to know eachother" post.
It takes a little practice, but it is fun to do.

The day after Thanksgiving, we got another 14 1/2 inches of fluffy snow. Now we have well over 3 feet. I actually lost my son in a snow pile in the yard.. He crawled in to play and fell into a snow bank and I only saw the top of his head.

Would you believe that it is 50 degrees here in WI?! We never know what the weather will bring anymore but I am not complaining. We were in Minneapolis over Thanksgiving and went sledding. FUN! But good to be home with no snow! I don't envy you Blue Oreo. Sue

We have a white out today.. took me 1 1/2 hours to get home from Anchorage, usual is 40 minutes top. Its still snowing, got another 3 inches over night, and its dusting now. Last year we hardly had any, so this is making up for it. I have to have someone climb on my roof and shovel it off. My dog went into the back yard for potty and I only saw her fluffy tail in the snow it was so deep.. she made a trail and just the tail poking out, it was cute, then a nose every now and then..

I paid my neighbor friends son to shovel my roof. He shoveled all the snow off, took a while. When I finally peeked out, I had a good chuckle. He shoveled it all over by the front door. We had a huge pile blocking the porch and went right to the roof it was that high. The dog climbed up the pile and on the roof with him. I am getting to hate snow now.. we have over 3 feet now and its still falling..
