They have to re-teach my kid to add, seems she FORGOT how. They say that's because of her not being able to pay attention. They will not listen to the idea that there could be something else wrong. They tell me it's normal for ADHD kids to be able to pay attention when they want to. Oh and I loved this part. The Social Worker told me a week ago that she did not see the ADHD in my daughter. Then today in the meeting she says she sees it. Her speech-language tests show her number, word and sentence memory are that of a four year old. Her auditory processing is that of a 7 year old. She's 10 by the way. They also said her test scores do not indicate an Auditory Processing Disorder. They also said there is nothing they can do to help her memory because of her attention. This was after her Teacher said the only area she is not paying attention in is math. She is staying in her seat doing all of her work. When it comes time to do math, she pulls a sheet of paper out of her desk and starts drawing. I'm at a lose as to what to do now.I just want to take them outside and beat them up.

Oh Annette, I feel for you, I really do. I haven't had a meeting yet this year because it is too soon I guess. You do what ever your heart feels. I follow my heart with Mikey and Tara and it gets me there. Get the hat and broom and take off Make them do their job
