Well, I was telling my husband last night that today my kids have been in school for a month and my youngest hadnt been in trouble. The principal has even told me several times how well he is doing this year.
Of course since I said something about how he was behaving, he just had to get into a fight today-with his big brother. Before school even started, they didnt even make it in the door and they were beating the crap out of each other (from what the other kids were telling me). Good thing I work there. The principal asked me if I wanted to take care of it or have him deal with it. I said I would take care of it so now they get no tv or games and they have to work together to get their room spotless.
Next time I will make them take the detention.

Isn't it amazing how things work out? I was commenting on how well our son was doing, and whamo a note comes home the next day. Someone is keeping tabs on my arrogance Anyway, it would be my worst nightmare to have a parent working at school to see my every move (not that I ever did anything bad) but...I would be walking on egg shells. Did you issue the punishment in school or wait til they got home? Miles

I talked to the kids and told them their punishment this morning so they had all day to stew about it.
My kids dont have that much of a problem with me working there. I am only there for 1 1/2 hours a day. I watch the kids in the hall before school and at lunch. My youngest waves and says hi to me all the time. My oldest just trys to act like a brat to see how much I will let him get away with. They are both in my hall now so they know they better behave. I am meaner than most of the teachers.

Isn't it funny how the kids try to push you? My kids know that their last resort isn't "time-out" it's calling daddy to come pick them up. Tara gets whiney when she doesn't get her way ::)and Mikey, well, Mikey is Mikey, and he knows if I reach for the phone, he's done Then the other kids see me calling and they straighten right up ???wonder why ;D

How lucky for you to have the principal let you make that choice. That is the way it should be!! miles....When Paul was in elementary school and a teacher would say....do I need to go get your gramma? he would freak!!!
