Jareds english /spelling teacher from last year retired and now he has the queen witch that I dont get on well with...she and Bud had problems. Jared uses a quick pad for any and most all writing tasks. It is listed in his 504 as a need and the reasons why. Jared worked hard and got an "A" on the first spelling test which was like a review of last year..then he got an "A" on his second one. I was rather proud. This teacher was not proud..in fact she yelled across the room in front of all of the class.."Jared did you cheat and use spellcheck on that thing ..I think you cheated."
OKAY we have not set up the spell check..Bud sets the thing up and Jared doesnt do anything but type into files. Last time he messed with anything at all he lost all his files and had to redo them all so he doesnt make adjustments. I checked the machine and no he isnt using the spellcheck. I dont know whether to be angry or what..he has half the class calling him cheater and the other half making fun of him as he cant write well...he had self esteem but it is getting shot down. He was getting most of his work done in study hall (she has that class too) but now he is back to square one and three hour homework sessions... If I complain..she will take it out on him ...(she has a reputation for it) if I dont she will continue to make fun of him and accuse him of cheating...we JUST finished homework...it is after 9pm...I dont know if Ishould go to the school and talk to them or what..last year she was the one who said she didnt see why we had to have a teacher conference or a 504 meeting....so meeting with her wont do a lot of good but we are back to square one .....grhh tell me what to do now....I was so hoping to go atleast a month without problems.

Even if she doens´t believe on 504´s or IEP´s she still has supervisor´s and she has to work with the adjustment´s some student´s have
, but let's do this...let's flip the situation and look at what would be done to Jared if he yelled across the room accusing the teacher of doing something wrong? Going on that I would be in the principal's office as soon as school started demanding that he get the teacher to the office and that she apologize to Jared IN FRONT OF THE ENTIRE CLASS, while she admitsmthat she was WRONG and that Jared DID NOT CHEAT! I would demand that you be present to witness this apology with your own two eyes. I would then demand that he be removed from her class and if that is not possible then put them on notice that if you hear of anything even remotely close to that happening again you will be notifying the local news station to give them an interesting little public interest story of what type of teachers this school has and how they do nothing to stop it. This may seem over the top to some, but not me. I have done the exact thing I am telling you to do! and it got Cami out of her teacher from hell's class when she was in 5th grade.
