HI I just need some support in here, this is the situation: ds; has been sick from last thu nigth with flu, fefer, bad coff and headdache. Dd5 has been sick from last wed, w/high fefer (almost 40 degrees of C), flu, otitis, coff... Dd2½ has been sick from last thorsday w/high fefer, flu, really bad phlaryngitis, otitis... ;DAND if that wuoldn´t been enough; I myself, have had the same flu from fri. You all can get the picture, it´s very simpe algebra: count together 3 sick children and take that of the hours of a day=the time I have to rest (equal´s to 0). On the top of that ( ;D yep, it´s not all...) I´am having an pre-christmas-blues. I love christmas but I hate this time when it´s all so dark, muddy and miserable It´s been in 0 deg of C´s in here, so no snow, thereby no ligth outside. I can hardly wait until I get better so I can start decorating for christmas, baking and all what belong´s to this time of the year. That´ll be so nice!! Right now I have to go get antibiotic´s for my daughter´s, some hot drinking for myself and ds. sorry such a miserable aproach, but i just had to vent! Marja

I am soo sorry for you!! The flu is no fun anyway, but to be sick yourself too?? oh nooooo!!! Well, if it is any comfort, I have no sign of Christmas around here <except the cookies my DH baked> and I haven't even assembled a Christmas card list. I have bought two presents so far, woohooo. I got my present early <my puppy> for my bday and Christmas. Hugs and warm blankets and a good multi-vitamin might go a along way!! Sorry you feel so awful!!

Marja - I totally was just there! Hang in there - you'll all be better soon. DS, DD and I were all sick over Thanksgiving. We were supposed to go to Rochester to my parents - my sister and brother-in-law flew in from Chicago. We decided to drive the 6 hours up on Thanksgiving day because we were all so sick and my sister is pregnant with her first child. I was soooo depressed. Then we get a call at 5:30 in the morning that my sister's water broke (she wasn't quite 26 weeks) so we had to cancel our plans. The good news is that although there is only 5% fluid she is still in the hospital and hasn't yet delivered and we are all over the flu! So I totally know your depression! On the positive side - you are getting it out of the way so you can all enjoy your Christmas! Feel better soon!

Finnmom I hope you are feeling better. I hate to be sick, no rest, house gets destroyed, you know how it goes. Eaccae, I will pray for your sister, I really hope everything goes OK for her and her baby. That is so soon to deliver . I suppose everyday longer that she does not deliver is a good thing. Tell her to get her rest while she still has a chance!! She'll never sleep good again!!

Eaccae!!! That´s so frightening, I bet you all are biting your fingernails waiting for new´s. The baby is only 26 weeks, so little, but propably they can keep baby in for a little longer. Do they give cortison to improve fetus lung´s in U.S.?? I know that in Finland, if an early birth is possible, they use cortison-shot´s for getting baby´s lung´s ready for breathing. i keep my finger´s grossed for your sister!
Linda, I bet you had such a time at school not being able to speak out loud! I should have been there to witness that ;D ;D
the household look´s terrible, honeysmom ;D I have no meaning´s to do anything for that for few days at least ;D
I just called work that I will not come tomorrow, at my work as an nurse practitioner, speaking is my best weapon, so to say. Marja

Hi Finnmom, I understand your situation. Everyone is just getting over the flu here too. All with high fevers, cough, and congestion. In fact, 9 out of 20 kids in my dd class was out with it. Hitting hard in these parts. Hopefully, it is out of the way and everyone is well in time for Christmas.

If it makes you feel any better, I'm a single mom and I'm dealing with day 6 of Kidney stones. I've spent the last 5 days, after a trip by ambulance to the hospital, in the recliner and there's no improvement. In the meantime my son went to stay with neighbors for a few days and lost his glasses and since coming back is having a good time messing the house up... I wouldn't wish this on my worse enemy (except my brother in law who just laughed at me...)

Oh my gosh, what a crew! I totally sympathize with all of you. I've been through house hold fever thing while the hubby was out of town and I witnessed firsthand his trouble with kidney stones. Terrible stuff. Wouldn't wish it on anyone. Eaccae, really sorry to hear about the baby, hope things get better. Marja, hope you feel better soon. :-/Susan

Hopely you get better soon!! and that 9 months flu; OH NO! I find myself sitting in here reading your post´s, coffing and laughing my loung´s out( not litterary, TG for that) I´am not suggesting that your post´s are ridicolous, but I can spot so much emphaty, humor, caring and so much more, on them that this make´s me feel really plessed. ( Whit this I mean all post´s, not only those for me) This forum totally is GREAT!! Thank´s for that!! I have a doctor´s appointment today, let´s see if he has any good new´s for me ;D Marja
