I think we got somewhere!

I think we got somewhere with school and testing Alex I wrote another note today and explained what his doc said and what his psych said about coverage. I asked if there is someone I need to call either at the school or the schoolboard--whoever is in charge of setting up testing. His teacher called me today and said they are going to start testing!! YAY! I do hope it's finished before the year is up.

Traci....Sometimes the schools take their own sweet time with the testing....you might have to push push....With us it took the better part of the year. I am happy to say however that I am a lot smarter about these things now

This definitely sounds like a GOOD step in the right direction!!

However, as Linda says ... keep pushing if they seem to be slow on getting going!! ...

I'll definitely keep an eye out and call often, too. My DH's aunt (who is a spec. ed teacher) said to speak to an attorney, but I don't think it's come to that. It's really quite odd to me how this school differs so much in the process compared to his last 2 schools. Maybe it's because it's a small, kinda out-in-the-country school? I don't know
