I can't sleep. I'm beginning to think DS doesn't have ADD, just idiot parents.

Have they ever considered him to be ODD?
Does he have a 504 or anything? Could you get it written in that he has a copy of the books to keep at home? Then you just have to get the assignment.

Actually he hasn't even been diagnosed with ADD. DH is against it, and right now I'm not sure what to think. (See paragraph below.) As far as the ODD is concerned, I don't really think that's the problem, but maybe I don't understand the disorder. DS is not normally aggressive, nor does heget angry at people--well at least he wasn't that way until now. He says the girl butted in front of him in line. Other than that I don't know what happened. I just don't know if it would be worth getting a diagnosis because as hard as I've tried to be open to the possibility of using medicine, I question the safety of using it long-term in children. DS goes to a private school so I don't think an IEP would be possible. His pediatrician changed from general practice to an emphasis on ADD children so I probably should talk to him more. He has mentioned biofeedback and diet changes before. I'm extremely tired, so if this doesn't make sense, I'll clarify later. Editing to add: He apparently had a very good day today because he came home with a paper flag that said "Star Day." He even said that at one point he was the only one obeying. DH took him out to McD after tee ball practice.
