Rose's class is working with a science program called "Foss" something. Does anyone know about it? It's very hands on but it doesn't have a book that the student can bring home. It also relys on a lot of note taking which dd isn't very good at. Consequently we got a 68 on our last big test. They do things like moving water in a pan to simulate ocean waves and look at rocks and make things. It sounds very good but dd doesn't seem to retain it. Is there somewhere I can get info so I can help her with it? thanks

Hi sweety. On a search, I found this site: lhsfoss.org/scope/There were a few others like it, but I remembered that Rose was in 5th grade if I am not mistaken and this covers k-8. Let me know if I can help even more.....It does sound good, but without the books, that can be rough
