My 12 year old daughter is ADHD and on ridalin. She is failing almost every one of her classes, what I am hearing is she is so unorganized. I have tried everything to help her...and the teachers don't have an answer either. She was tested last year and did not qualify for special ed. I went to parent teacher conference tonight and they told me she works great in small groups...well they are not willing to put her in smaller groups. She put her violin down last year and got it stolen...this year I let her use my downs coat and she lost that.....HELP....if any of you have any ideals how to help her.

Have you tried check lists? Have her write down everything that has to come home, and use the check list to pack her bag before leaving school...
My sd has picture check lists (with the word written underneath), for her morning routine, it seems to help, although I havent found anything that is infailable...

Oh Boy, am I not going to help ???My daughter just turned 10 and has NO DX or ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS. But the checklist is good for starts. She could have an agenda too, if hte school deoesn't give them one. Well, that is if she checks it....... why, can I ask are they unable to put her in a smaller group? Sounds aboutthe same as my son. He is super chargd with energy. He couldn't be put into special ed either, but he does have a 504 plan. Do you have one for your daughter?
I gotta get to work her in a minute, but look around, if you don't know what a 504 is, there are a few threads about it. If you haven't been here by the time I get home, I'll find some for ya.
Take care
