Yesterday I had Dans yearly ARD meeting, and it went very well. We had been discussing next year when he goes to highschool. For the start of Highschool we will be keeping him in resource reading, and he will be in resource language arts. I have been trying to get him in that since last year. They also want him in advanced math. They said he is already doing highschool math problems. (yesterday he showed the teacher how to solve a problem, she was stumped) By his senior year, he should be out of resource reading, and taking regular English with extra assistance. All his teachers said they cant believe how mature he has become, and how much he has improved in school. They said they can see how happy he is this year, and feel he has had a few things just finally come together for him. I told them I think a lot of it is that the teachers really seem to be on his team this year, and he really likes them. They want him to succed, and so he is. I went home in a very good mood this time. What a diffrence.
