ARGH! Within 2 hours of school starting I have received my first phone call! OH JOY! I knew it would happen with the no medication thing anyway, but this was actually kind of a good phone call... Another "request", " Demand" whatever you want to call it, that sd's mom has made is to "allow" (which is bull since we let sd8 decide how short she wants her hair or not) sd to grow her hair out... Well her mom always puts these tight ponies in sd's hair, and sd is constantly wanting her hair cut so that her mom "cant pull her hair anymore"... Sd also complains of head aches which I believe are from the tightness of her ponies... Anyway on the list of supplies, was scissors which I bought... So guess what sd decides to do? Cut her hair herself... Now I have the perfect opportunity to take her in to get her hair cut by a professional! And sd's mom can, well how to put nicely? Shove it? LMAO... Sd prefers her hair just to her shoulders, hopefully she has enough left (I havent seen her yet) to keep it about that length at least! The teacher said they have a social worker sitting one on one with sd, since she wont sit still, and isnt behaving the greatest without the medication... Wont be long, I guarantee, before we have sd back on the medicine that so helps her! cat

Oh my gosh cat....when it rains it pours!!!Did she cut her hair in school or at home? I agree with you cat...she WILL be back on meds whether her so called mom likes it or not!!!!Personally I think the school should make the mom come to school and sit with sd....that ought to be enough!!!

Sorry it was at school... Before the social worker decided she needed more supervision... Shouldnt happen now that she has one on one, and they took her scissors! LOL
Oh that is a hoot about making mom come sit with sd! LOL Her mom couldnt even come to the school to meet the teacher night... Only went to one parent teacher conference so far in sd's 3 full years of school, so I dont see that happening...

I guess it just ticks me off that we put in all the work of raising the kids....and then some biological idiot that isn't even raising them thinks that they can call the shots!!

Cat, I couldn´t do anything but just laugh. No way to grow her hair now That brought back a memory; my ds was 5 and ddnro2 about 2y, when I JUST SAID to someone "I have to cut here hair some day soon" and in the afternoon, the silence There they were, at downstairs, he had cut her hair(quite nicely, I might add) I agree;it´ll not take long until she has to start with med´s again. We´ll see

Ha-Ha! How smart of her. I think she just thought to herself "Well, if mom won't cut it, I'll show her!" You have to give her props for knowing what she wants and taking the initiative! ;D I think you've rubbed off on her, Cat!
