Yes come on Linda !! Share !! ;D ;D
Miles ... concerning the mornings ... I myself am not a morning person (I am fine after a cup of tea and a shower) but before that I literally do NOT want to talk to anyone ... and if someone is very cheerful and expecting any sort of reaction out of me immediately following waking up they are very likely to get no more than a grunt ... which basically means "Leave me alone .. Go Away ..."
I also remember when I was a child my dear Mum who was ALWAYS cheerful every morning ... waking me up with a cheerful "Good Morning ... What a lovely Day ... come on out of bed ... give me a hug" ... etc and it drove me half mad!! I HATED IT!! ... If only she had learned to wake me up and then literally LEAVE ME TO IT! ... I wasn't brave enough to tell her to go away but I sure wanted to at at times!!
Anyway, I am just wondering whether your son is feeling much the same as I used to feel (and still do!) in the mornings .. and whether he is simply not a morning person (like many of us!) and would prefer a really 'simple' (but yes cheerful!) wake-up and then be left alone for a bit? Just a thought .... and GOOD LUCK!!

Thanks for the responses, I don't mind the tour through "go-go land" It has been an interesting detour. With our son it is a mixed bag of what you will get in the morning. Sometimes cheery, most of the time not. If I were to wake him up then leave him he would be sleeping again in 10 seconds. Mind you I am not a morning person, I just think it is better than going into the room and waking him up like he was in boot camp. Boy do I remember some "interesting" ways to get woken up. Thanks for the resonses again. Now you all can go back to go-go things Miles
