I asked the principle about the cell phone use by the children and the teacher when things arent going so well in class. the principle told me the teacher was just trying to help with out making a big deal out of the situation. I also told her about the yelling and It seems that things in class are out of control. She is looking it to it more. Meanwhile I got a call yesterday and today about him not finishing assignments in class. Today he was in the background saying he didnt have enough time to finish. He is in second grade and he had to do 20 definitions in 30 mins. The teacher said he usually does it so she wont except his excuse. then the spanish teacher put him out and said he wasnt listening I dont think the spanish teacher likes him anyway. I will be so glad when this year is over. I hate to change schools but I think him going where the 504 plan is avaiable is best.

Babytay, here's a ((((((((((((((hug)))))))))))))))) for you.
Isn't there any way the teacher could send home the work to finish instead of calling and wasting both of your times. I mean really, I don't want to sound rude, but that's just a little ridiculous to call JUST because he didn't finish his definitions. Unless of course she tried to use that as a threat, that she would call, and had to keep her word on it. I don't know
The whole thing sounds, well, dorky. That's a nice way to put it. Vent a way!!!!!!!! I know I have
Hope things look brighter Kaiti

It´s good to have some conversation between theacher and parent, but it´s their job to theach, not our´s Let´s hope for better next year, thump´s up!!!!!!!!! I hope you have a better day today! Marja

I have to agree, what a bizarre approach and complete waste of time. What are you supposed to do when you get these calls, reach through the phone and make your son do the work? I would tend to think that this approach would also be very disruptive to the rest of the class. From what you have already described, it does sound like the teacher is on the edge and needs some help. Let us know what the principal does to address this situation. The school year is almost through, hang in there.
