Well, I glad that you guys are free from the outside pressures for the summer... Michael's school goes to JUNE 17... if he gets his grades a tiny bit higher (into the passing range) he will be leaving on June 10 to attend ROTC leadership camp. It is considered school time, thus he maintains perfect attendance.
Patrick has been IM'ing to Cami during the school day. I am relieved that she is home legally! I hadn't heard that school was out, so I was worried yesterday!

Trid - we, too, have until mid-June. Ugh. It gets tougher and tougher to make them do the homework. Amy, especially, with the remedial work, ends up having twice as much to do as her older brother! Can you imagine, in first grade?? Poor kid! I'm looking forward to school ending as much as they are!! LOL...

Trid.... thanks for the laugh and concern. Cami has indeed been on legally! hehe
If ya'll don't get out until mid-June, when do y'all go back? We start back here August 8th.
I've been leaving Cami a daily "to-do" list and she has been doing it all without fuss. She has been doing laundry, and dusting, among a few other simple things. It really helps me out in the evenings. Oh, how I wish summer vacations lasted forever!
M/C, love your avatar too! And if you ever need help in the future, feel free to let me know. I'm a computer operator so I'm supposed to know my way around these things. Although, I'm really just faking it! hahaha

Well today was our last day here. I believe we go back on August 17. Why we always start in the middle of the week I have not yet figured out. LOL. Amber is loosing her band director, and 3 of her friends, so she was very sad at lunchtime. School was only 1/2 day. Dan will still be spending time at the school for workouts and 2 a days for football. Amber thought she would be able to work with the band director over the summer since we live next to the school But I guess we will have to see when the new director starts, and maybe she will be able to meet him or her. She will also be running with the crosscountry coach to get ready for next year. I still have to work, but not untill my 2 weeks are over. I am really looking forward to spending some time next to the pool.

Do any of you have to put up with the crap of going to school for an hour to pick up report cards? For the most part, today was the last day of school. But, the kids have to go back Tuesday for an hour to get their report cards. They will not be given out until 9:45 which is right before the busses will be taking them home. And dont you all think this is a waste of gas for the busses, and money to pay drivers and stuff.
