I have been posting under medication about my DS and his experiences on medication. The last combination was awful.
I was surfing the web early in the week and came across a name of a parent advocate. She emailed me back and I spoke to her today. She is willing to attend a May 6th transational meeting.
there should be 12 school staff and me and my husband, I feel a bit out numbered. The advocate has 10yrs experience and is on several parent to parent support groups in our area. She has knowledge and experience with issues reguarding children with accomadation needs. She will be introduced as a friend and take notes for us, she will also speak up if something is going in the wrong direction.
I feel more comfortable knowing she will be there. She is also connecting me with another mother in Pennsylvania who has a child diagnosed with PANDAS.

This is great news for you I know. And I had to laugh at the image of 007 showing up at the meeting with her secret weapon!
Go Mom. I hope everything goes well.

B: Great news I am really pleased that you found someone! Find out if she deals with dual identification children too. I have two that I am trying to correct IEP's under both Chapter 14 and Chapter 16 laws. Shaun is in the middle of identification and from what I was told "unofficially" by the school psychologist that tested him, he also will qualify under both sections. I really could use and advocate. If she isn't available, maybe you can come join me? Good work, keep me posted. Laurie
