You're right, this report does contain some interesting general information and is worth the read. However, it contains absolutely no information on dietary and nutritional strategies that have been proven effective in treating ADHD. This is a major oversight, and a common one, which perpetuates the myth that ADHD must be treated with prescription medications. It also fails to discuss the importance, during the diagnostic phase, of laboratory tests to rule out common and easily treatable medical conditions that may be causing or contributing to ADHD symptoms... conditions like anemia, hypoglycemia, thyroid dysfunction, or heavy metal toxicity. For an excellent discussion of ADHD that includes what we know about causes and treatments (both medication and otherwise) - see: www.thorne.com/pdf/journal/5-5/attention_deficit.pdf
