mom - i wish you would have told me about this conversation i am not changing like that (from prep to punk to skater girl) on perposs that is just me being me i thought anna knew that but i guess i was wrong yes i know i have a hard time with the people ate skool and accepting who i am but like yall said that just comes with growing up (if thats not exatly right its close anuf)!! hey sweetie, I will tell you this in person as well as here. I didn't tell you about trhis conversation because I didn't want you hurt. You see it is a mom's job to protect her child. As far as Anna knowing that you are just being you, I hope she does now.... as I continue to hope that all of the kids your age will see that in each other and quit trying to find a category to fit the other in. I love your quirkiness and anyone else that doesn't isn't a true friend.

Hello Cami, welcome. I have a 14 yr old son (15 next month) who is going thru some of the same things you are, so I understand why you are changing your image, and trying to "find" who you are. From what I have heard from your mom, you are a great girl who anyone would be proud to call friend. You just keep being yourself, and they will figure out that you are a nice person to be hanging around with. It finally happened this year with my son, and he is having the best year of his life so far. By the way, I showed him your picture that your mom put on another thread, and he thought you were very good looking.

Hi Cami, You sound like a great kid! the years you are in are hard in alot of ways but everyone goes thru them. some just take a little longer and might go the scenic path instead of the same path everyone else takes. my daughter, Brittany, just turned 20 and she's still trying hard to make and keep friends. it has gotten better as she's gotten older although still not great. your mom and everyone else is right. you and brittany and all our kids are great kids with big hearts and warm smiles. anyone who can't see past that, doesn't deserve to be your friend. karen

Thanks Karen for those sweet words. You put it much better than I ever have. I can't wait for Cam to read it.
