We sort of had a playdate last weekend. My friend came to visit with his son and my MIL for the night and they stayed over. Honey started out doing pretty well. He played pretty nice for about 45 minutes. After that he decided that he didn't want Jason over anymore and asked if he would go home. Obviously he could not b/c he lives 3 hours away. But Honey seemed to adjust well.
The next morning Honey was noticibly shaken that they were still here and became panicked that he would have to miss school due to the visit. I am not sure how he connected the two, but asked me very nicely if they could just leave. I told my MIL how uncomfortable Honey was and she took them home.
I know it does not sound like that great of a thing, but the whole visit went off without a meltdown and Honey actually being very polite to me, in private, about his wishes. I am proud of him. It is a start.

Yes he is only 4, just about 5. The other little boy is even younger, and he is much more immature than Honey is. Not that Honey is all that mature, but this is kid is really whiny. It was a good start, and no one even got hurt when Honey's Candyland game board was torn in half. Usually that would've sent him into a really bad mood really fast!!
