Today was hubby's associate degree graduation...woo hoo....Finally after 2 and a half years he got his associates degree in computer science with focus on computer programming. I am so proud of him! He is 34 yrs old and graduated cum laude!!!
We had to wake at 4 am to drive to the graduation as they had it several hours away where the main campus is, but all in all it was a nice day. My oldest son is on a camping trip with my brother so I only had the two youngest kids with me. AND my DD behaved herself!!!! We had to wait a little over an hour for the graduation to start and she sat fairly still and quiet for most of that. Then she seemed enthralled with the speakers (maybe it was the church which I'll explain in a min). I am so very proud of her also for her behaviour....
They had the grad in a church and I have never been in anything like it before! This was a four story church with elevators and escalators inside. They even had a small chapel located on the top floor for small weddings and such. The inside looked like an airport terminal. There was a wall along one side with something that looked like a check in center at the airport. There were tons of people manning those counters to give grads the info they needed. This church even had a welcome/visitor center located just in front of the main entrance. They had there own newspaper! This church seated 9000!!!!
I was just floored by it all....
Anywho, just wanted to share in our experiences today...now if we can make through another 2 and a half years while he gets his bachelor's degree.....
