My oldest, now 11, had a great name for when she passed gas. She always seemed very pleased when she farted because she would grab her backside with both hands, grin proudly and yell...."Uh Oh!! Butt burp!!" no matter where you were or who you were with. Santa was very impressed one year.

OMG you guys I am laughing so hard!!!! I am so glad I am not alone in the "rude children" department!!! I have to admit that it seems I am more annoyed by things that wouldn't have bothered me to long ago... Why is that?? I think that I am sooooo frustrated that everything rubs me wrong!! Well to start the list I will start with my 31 year old son(AKA Hubby) ;D He is THE most obnoxious person put on this earth!! He will pass gas out of whichever end, if not both at my dinner table!! And then this of course sets of an "explosion" thru the ranks..... And he never picks up after himself... I run around picking up his trail!! LOL My 9yo is the one with ADHD/ODD... I have a huge list but will only say top 3... He picks his nose (eats it too) EWWW!! He has to repeat himself at least 20 times on just about everything he says!! And he lives to make his younger siblings cry!!! My 4 yr old.... well she is pretty good, except for the fact she thinks she is the boss and is not afraid to let you know it!! My 3 yr old... he is the main "sprayer" in my house. If I am lucky enough that he actually hits the toilet I have to beware of the dribbles on the seat... He has also perfected the exact science of making self burp!! Learned from above mentioned 31 yr son I believe... My youngest two are really too young to do much to annoy me but I am sure it won't be long!!! ;D ;D

Reading all these replies sound sooo familiar. The repitition thing. The repitition thing. I was reminiscing about the older three children's toddlerhood <late infancy> and I wonder:
Has anyone ever had problems with little people taking off their diaper and smearing the walls with the......umm.......product?
Each of the three older kids have done this. I am horrified by it and cannot explain why they do this. It is gross. Writing on the walls was a standard with all three <had to paint three residences due to this>, the nose thing was only the oldest one.
If no one else has had this, I am going to be mortified. Thought I would ask though, because it has been too consistent a theme in my time as a mother.

Picking her nose (she cant be the only one can she!!!)... Alas, catseye, your daughter is not the only one, as I see from other posts as well. Brooke enjoys that disgusting habit as well. Yuck. But I will say this, I haven't seen her do it as much since we started Strattera. I wonder if the Concerta caused it, or at least exacerbated it. She can also pass gas very loud and proud. Unfortunately I am probably to blame for that. She does the toenails as well. So did I as a kid, of course now in order to get my foot near my mouth, I would have to break off my leg first.

OMG.. I am sooo glad I am not alone on all this.. Reading all the post, my eyes are teary from laughing so hard..
My son (13) still can not sit and eat a meal with out wearing more of his food than eating it.. I swear he has a hole in his stomache that just spits it out on to his shirt as it goes down... As for utensils... what are those.. I think he thinks they are just something on the table for decorations during dinner.. He chews with his mouth open talks with food coming out and smacks.. I swear he thinks that the food is going to run away b/c he eats so fast as to not let it jump off the plate. I really hate to take him out to a resteraunt. The slobbiness does not stop there though.. My son can not step out of bed without getting something all over him.. If he looks at it... it will be all over him... It is like living with PigPen from Peanuts....
The other day he had a dentist appointment. After the app. we went to eat lunch with his father. I had bought him a bottle of root beer earlier.. big mistake... we get out of the truck at the diner and I look at him.. he has a white shirt on and there is brown stuff ALL down the front of his shirt.. I said "omg.. what happened" The bottle had spewed when he opened it.. "why didnt you hold it away when you saw it was going to spew" anyone guess what he said...."I dont know".. hahaha should have known that was coming..( this is getting alittle better seeing that he is very interested in girls now)
As for the room.. I dont even like to look at it.. the only time I go in there is once a week to look for clothing when he has none to wear and I have noticed that there is none in the laundry.. The whole time fearing for my life that something is going to jump out at me.but ya know..pick our battles..
Picking the nose.. aarrgh.. I dont know what to do about this one.. very hard to get him to stop seeing that dad does it too(along with his family).. this was a major no no when I was growing up.. Mom broke us of this very early.
As far as the batheroom issues.. well I jsut tell him to stay out of mine.. doesnt always work though.. I dont know how many times I have gotten up and gone to the potty not only to be rudely awakened by this nasty feeling of wetness.. ack....

My son 6 yo ADHD, bites his toenails and makes an annoying noise in his throat all the time (Probably trying to hack up all those toenails!). My Daughter 9 yo, chews with her mouth open and the both of them can walk into a clean room and it looks like a disater when they walk out.....Ugh! Nice to know it is not only me!

Whew........so I am not on my own planet. My kids would always look like the washing machine threw up when other children are nice and clean and presentable. My kids are the ones with sticky faces, stained shirts, mismatched clothing. I cannot seem to make headway with these issues. The four year old doesn't understnad "clean" and it won't stay that way. I don't give my children anything light colored without putting layers to peel off before the place we have to go to looking clean. I want paper clothes....like paper towels, when the top one gets dirty you rip it off and reveal the clean one!
The eating thing is awful, the noises, the habits.....etc. I shudder to think what woman will look at my sons and think "hey!! he's cute!" Arghhh.......gotta get them manners soon or else they will never leave home!!LOL

Then we ALL run away from home before the grandchildren come over!!LOL
Or sprinkle strattera in all our food.....either one.....LOL

Its nice to know we're not alone in having kids with these kind of habits. I guess they are just ordinary (or as ordinary as our kids can be!!) habits for kids. Instead of stewing about how awful it is, its nice to share and have a laugh with everyone who is in the same situation. Thanks for sharing everyone!! ;D
