I dont have one, as a matter a fact, I dont have land-line eather...so who ever call´s, get´s his/her´s number showing on my cell phone, if i know the number I ´ll call back... if it´s unknown... then i wait them to call back...usually it´s the phone-salesman

;D ;D OK Linda THATS the one for ME !! ;D ;D ;D
I heard one the other day which was absolutely hysterical ... At work we had to call it BACK AGAIN on the loud speaker to listen to it AGAIN and so we could ALL hear it!! ;D ... I cannot remember the details of it now but it was one of these "pre-recorded" ones and we were all creased up!! ;D ;D

We don't have an answering machine, but we do have voice mail on our cell phone. I have no idea what message DH has on it. I love hearing these--they're great! I know I've heard some other funny ones in the past, but I can't remember them.

;DMy Pop-pop use to say "If you are selling something don't leave a message, if you are wanting me go ahead,"
He inadvertently made me leave this on one our machine:
"Hello..........................oh we aren't here, leave a message" ;D
Do you know how many people used to start to talk, then stop then start again ;D ;D ;D ;D
I got a few people

Wish I had the nerve: Hi, I'm not home right now, so if you called, and you don't get this recording, it means you called the WRONG NUMBER, NOW HANG UP AND DON'T BOTHER CALLING ME AGAIN! ;D ;D ;D

I know someone that keft the message "yeah..thats right its just another d*** machine again dont you hate it? ..I am probably not here but leave a message anyway and maybe I will call you back..maybe not."
Our message is pretty tame .."its the ####residence...just leave a message and we'll get back to you sooner or later." (arent we just plain boring)

I have a few different options on my phone...
Hi, you've reached the "tridlette's" family. No one is available to take your call. Please leave a message and your call will be returned shortly." That's the one we use when we expect an important caller.
Then the summer one, "Hi, I am not about to drop what I am doing to accomodate your lousy timing. If I want to talk to you, I'll call you back when it's convenient for me! If I don't call you back, assume that I don't really have any desire to talk with you. If your call goes unreturned after several attempts, perhaps you'll catch on."
And then the school year message. "Hi, we are in the middle of an important lesson. When this class is over, we will return your call. Thanks for letting us learn!"
And then my voice mail... "It beeped, you talk".

I have just a traditional message right now...lisitng our first names instead of saying the XXXXXX residence since Cami's last name is different from mine and Andy's. It just says, "you have reached the home of Andy, Christy, and Cami...as you can probably tell by now, we aren't available to take your call. Leave a message at the beep and we'll call you back when we can. Thank you."
Back before the Do Not Call list started I got so aggravated with phone solicitors I had this on my machince for a while:
"Hi, you have reached the home of a woman that absolutely DETESTS phone solicitors! If you are one, I suggest you hang up now, remove my number from your call list, and never call it again! If you are a friend or family member, feel free to leave a message and we will call YOU back."
