That would be me. No matter how late I stay up I wake up at my regular time. I HATE IT!!!To make it worse I can not go back to sleep. I got about 6 hours of sleep last night and I really need 8. I think a lot of us do things out of habit but it is maddening sometimes

Oh Linda ... I couldn't get by on 6 hours of sleep ... BUT I must admit that unlike you I CAN and DO sleep in when I have been to bed late .... But as for being a "creature of habit" in other ways ... Oh yes!! That's me too !! ... I'm a very "poor" morning person .... I do NOT function well for the first 20 minutes after getting out of bed !! I need that time totally ALONE to quietly have a cup of tea and then I will get going and most mornings that is EXACTLY what I do!! ... After that I am just fine ... BUT last week DH had two days holiday from work so he was here and he expected me to actually "chat" during my sacred 20 minutes!! .. I do NOT "Chat" during those 20 minutes ... He should actually KNOW that by now ... but of course I was accused of being "Grumpy" and like a bear with a sore head ... etc.etc. ;D My "20 minutes first thing in the morning" definitely earn me the title of 'creature of habit' !! (Or should that title just be plain 'grumpy'?) ;D ;D

.... I do NOT function well for the first 20 minutes after getting out of bed !! not 20 minutes or 2 hours! I am plain miserable for quite a while after awakening! As far as I am concerned... 11 should not happen in the morning... PERIOD! My favorite place is in bed, and I would hibernate if I could. Although, now that I am getting older, I find that staying in bed too long actually causes PAIN! I hurt all over if I stay in bed all day. Humph! I can't believe aging means giving up EVERYTHING I hold dear! Who would have believed that even sleeping gets harder!

Tell me about it!!! I slept so hard the other night that when I woke up my shoulder and arm was hurting Ever done that? Only every night! I take meds to help me sleep, so... if I sleep at all, I am out cold, don't move, and then whatever joint wasn't "in-line" aches for 2 days. My hip, my neck, my shoulder, my back... sometimes all at once! I want a massaging bed!

I could sleep for ever.... mayby not "for ever" but as long as I ever can with 3 kid´s I prefer quiet time if i have to wake up early(i.e. every workday ) but at weekend´s and holiday´s, when I´ll be the last one out... I´ll do rather well As far as being creature of habit.... yep, I´ll tend to stay up for 11-12 pm until I can get to bed... it´s a habit, even if Iám tired, i cant get to sleep

I also need my sleep at night. If I dont get it I have a headache first thing in the morning (very much like a hangover but without the drinking LOL ). Riley has football games on Thursday nights and I have been finding I have this "headache" on Friday morn. Can't be because I scream my lungs out and I am cheering on the team Luckily I have been taking fridays off from work so after everyone is off I try to catch a few more ZZZ's.
