big changes here

We have decided that we will be unable to get any help beond foodstamps, so we will be moving in with my dad and step-mother for a few months untill Andy is back at work, and we save enough money to have the utilities turned back on. This way we can still pay our mortgage and truck payments. Amber will have to be pulled out of the competitive cheerleading squad, and will not be happy about it when she finds out. With the cost of gas prices now, there are a few parents who may not be able to continue with the team. We have stopped all work on her braces untill we can start making payments again. ( again gas prices figure in as well as the monthly payments, we have to take her 45 miles away for apts.) My dad has a bedroom for me and Andy, a computer room with a bed for Amber, and a den with its own bathroom and outside door for Dan. He is excited, he says this will be like having his own apartment except no kitchen. They will each still have their own tv, so their should not be any fights over tv shows. Amber can still take her Dance classes (ballet and jazz) and is still running cross country and jr high cheerleading, so she has plenty to do even without the competition squad. She also just found out that she got the lead in the UIL one act play for jr high. Something about a little girl and a clown. She is the little girl.
I am hoping this move takes some stress off of Andy so he can recuporate in peace, and not try to rush back to work. We are taking the kids dogs with us, they love to go to my dads anyway, but the others and the cats are staying home. I will have to go their twice a day to feed and water them, but dad only lives 2 blocks away from my house, so it is not far. And our neighbour is a good friend, so he will help keep an eye on our house as well. I know this is for the best right now, but I really do not want to leave my house. We will be cleaning and trying to decide what to take this weekend, and the utilities will be turned off next week, so I dont know how often I will be on here. I figure we will be with my dad and step-mother untill christmas.

Vickilyn, I´am sorry you have to move, but so clad to hear that you have your dad right next to you helping you out

Even thou it might seem like for ever, christmas will be here way before anyone of us notice it (or will be ready for it ) I hope that both you and Andy will use this time to recover from this

I know this will be hard on you, Andy, Dan, and Amber but like Marja said, Christmas will be here before you know it. Y'all just stick together as a family and you will be stronger in the end. It is indeed wonderful your father and stepmom are so willing to help out. In addition to our husbands sharing a name, your dad and stepmom sound a lot like my dad and stepmom and how they would be in a similar situation. I hope Andy will recover very soon and not let this move drag him down. Take care and come here as often as you can!

It will take a little getting used to, but I'm sure you'll manage just fine. Thank Goodness Dad is so close, that way, if you or the kdis forget something, it's right up the street
