S/A welcome to north Texas, I hope you make the trip OK. I am about 150 miles west of ft worth, so we should be just fine up here. Anyone else from the gulf coast area, I am wishing you lots of luck and sending prayers for your saftey. When we lived in NY it was the blizzards we worried about, now the only blizzards I have seen was the winters blizzards during football season LOL. (team we played) Here we have tornados, but they seem to go around us. One more thing to remember to take, phone numbers of relatives to let them know you are safe. We will be waiting to hear that you made it to safty.

I just heard on CNN that gas prices could go to $5.00 a gallon after Hurricane Rita hits Houston!! I suspected that and last night after taking Cam to swim practice, I stopped and filled my gas tank to the rim in preparation! Then I thanked God that gas was all I had to worry about in the coming days...

Here in Dallas we are expecting heavy rains sometime sunday. We lave lots of evacuees from New Orleans here. I hope the storm doesn't make problems for them. I don't have any family or friends on the coast but several of my coworkers do. People are evacuating like crazy in the Houston area and staying with friends and relativesin Austin, Dallas and other places upland. The gulf coast has been through so much lately. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone.

The storm seems to be taking a more northerly turn than they were expecting. A friend noted that once this storm hits Texas, every gulf coast state will have been hit by a hurricane this year.
We have gotten a little rain and some breezy weather all the way up/over here.

Thoughts and prayers to our gulf coast friends and family If something happens and anyone travels up here to New Jersey, we have a couple of couches an dplenty of sleeping bags to go around. You are more then welcome.....then we can take a trip to meet Trid at Walmart Seriously though, if it is needed we have space. Keep in mind we have a dog, well, puppy....in case of allergies
