Just wondering ... do you follow fashion trends or tend to do your own thing? I DOOOO tend to follow the "trends" but if I don't like the current trend then "forget it" !... When I was younger I used to follow it regardless of whether I liked it or not!! .. I love the long "gypsy skirts" which have been so big here this summer .... but I am NOT keen on the shorter "A" line skirt which has also made an appearance!! (I HATE that length, i.e. just below the knee!! )" ... but then again anything ABOVE the knee is generally fine by me as well ... I LOVE the baggy combat style trousers and I have 'grown' to really like the low waists ... (that has taken me a good couple of years because to begin with I just wanted to pull those low waists up!! ;D) But one thing I personally HATE HATE HATE are the shoes and boots with the very pointed toes and stiletto heels ... I will NOT wear them .... they are just NOT me !! What about you? Are you a dedicated follower of fashion on do you do your own thing??

I do my own route, mostly boring casual clothing Low waist look´s better than high on me, I´am not a skirt-person, but when ever I use one it´ll be above the knee or the anckle length, I like those gipsy-skirt´s too, althought those dont look so good on me My style..... casual, timeless and .... quite boring

I have always followed the "what is in" unless it looks alful on me!!! Being tall I suppose is an advantage because most clothes look good. I love the long skirts....the baggy pants.....I DON'T like low waist...I never got used to NOT wanting to pull them up ;D ;D ;D I also hate pointy shoes....I wish clogs would stay in fashion forever! ;D ;D

But I am a follower of me, myself and I.....as if we can't remember my checkered outfit, hey Anne, if I send it to you can you put it in this post I'll get it to you here shortly. AnyhowI don't follow trends, shocker there. ;DUsually for het past few years, I have cut off the jeans I buy at the beginning of the school year for summer Did you see the "new" holey jeans........oh crap, I ain't wasting money like that. White tennis sneakers and work boots are the norm for me

Once I had kids fashion wasn't a big thing for me but the last few years I have been getting into the new styles. It takes me awhile to get used to them but once I do YES I am comfortable. In my younger years I use to be styling all the time it was just that period after having kids and focusing on them instead of me and now I concentrate on my once in awhile. I cannot get use to those hip huggin jeans (just to much baby fat to have making an appearance LOL LOL) I love the flair out jeans thou~~~they are my favorite.

I dress for me and goodwill.......at church I am conservative dresses below knee and heels...at home it depends on whether I am playing in the dirt or not... low cut jeans, t-shirt and either t shoes or work boots or barefoot at home. I also like the gypsy skirts...just bought a nice one at goodwill for 1.00 ... I used to follow fashions but then I had kids. I have recently found out that the baggy jeans kids wear showing their boxers is actually called "jailin" and it comes from jail. They take the belts away from inmates so they wont hurt anyone. I never even knew that....yes I live under a rock and know nothing... ;D ;D

I have been a dedicated fashion follower for 20 years at least. I can't wear the frilly tops and the flowered skirts that are popular now because the look rather silly on a 48 year old. I am however the queen of EBay cashmere sweaters. I have 2 pairs of boots, (brown and black) and about 20 pairs of shoes. My impulsiveness shows it's ugly head with ebay. Does anyone want any 8-10 size dresses slacks and a couple of suits? I have several that I'm trying to get rid of. My closets are busting.

i've never followed fashion. jeans and sweatshirts is about it for me. even when i was young, i had the "bubble butt" and no clothes are made for that! never had money for the constant change either. now i'm much too heavy for anything trendy. i love the longer skirts but don't wear anything but pants now as i can only wear really good tennis shoes and recently birkenstock sandals. the sandals could work with skirts but the not the tennis shoes. i also know nothing about fashion so it's not hard for me to not follow along! brittany follows some but she looks great in anything. thanks to jennifer lopez, the "bubble butt" is now acceptable and she doesn't have to spend her life trying to cover it up! plus when something is trendy, it's all you can find in the stores even if you aren't crazy about it. karen

Yes, I must admit, I am a fashion follower..in the same sense as you Anne, and keeping my age in mind. If it is a trend but doesn't look good on me, or isn't appropriate for my age, then no I won't wear it...otherwise I'm there! I haven't gotten into the "gypsy" skirts, but years ago while in a western themed wedding I wore (I kid you not!) a then called "Peasant" skirt as a bridesmaid and looked horrible in it! Plus, I'm more of a jeans or trousers girl...even at work. What I have gotten into more than anything is the dressy, almost lingerie looking tops to wear with my jeans, and yes, the jeans are low-rise...not the ultra-low like Cami wears, but the "lower"-rise ones. It's almost quite comical to shop for jeans now, because you have the different "rises" as well as leg-cuts. There are the waist hugging "mom" jeans, the medium/lower rise, and the ulta low rise as well as flare, boot-cut, and straight legs. Simplicity went out the door on this stuff! But like Kaiti, I draw the line with the already torn jeans of course for me, but Cami as well! I refuse to pay good oney for jeans that are already torn and with every wash will get worse. That is just crazy to me!
