Well, it was official. Yesterday was the last day of Sporting Clays at the club I didn't think I would ever cry about getting up at the crack of dawn on a Sunday, but for the past 3 years I have been there for all but about 5 Sundays. I hate to say it at all, because I was hoping someone would pick it up, but these days no one wants to work for nothing. I don't get paid to run the kitchen. I don't get paid to be there Sunday week in and week out, but I am. I love the people that come out. We have the old guys, as they dubbed themselves.... Bob, Mick, and the gang. They came week in and week out as well. No they weren'tthe best tippers, but darn it they were there Then we got the Sunday Shooters.....well, they must be add because they lasted about a month with a bunch of talk that they'd be back.....you know how our kids are....think be act small But htey are the sweetest guys int eh world. They bring their wives and girlfriends and they have a blast too. Then we have the guys that are out with their kids. They say they will be back, but never are....can't find the time I don't know what to think. I grew up at this club without sporting clays, so I know that it will survive, but I liked how it was going. Ijust want to get it back to being a family place. My dad tonight said something about someone and hasn't been there for years.....and hit it on the head Guess that's where I get it from huh TRID WHAT ARE WE GONNA DO

Kaiti It´s always sad when something come´s to an end even thou you have been working hard for it and will not miss that part, but the getting together and having fun........ I have to say I admire your social skill´s, you are so willing to do thing´s for the community that I have to envy your energy...parade, the lub and all the work you do is so valuable, even if they are ending some of this

Thanks Marja, I gues the social skills will be geared toward something else ;DWALMART ;DHAHAHAHA
I Guess that's what I liked about being there, just the socializing with the same people all the time. Then throw a few different people in here and there
I will still be out there once a month for Archery shoots, so I guess that is the silver lining of the clouds, but it sure is going to take some getting used to.

OMG Kaiti when I read the beginning of your post I thought you meant clays were done for the season...they just finished up the seasons tournaments at our club...I cant even imagine not having trap shoots..that is really sad. You should form a womens league ;D ;D (women never give up) I myself dont care much for the trap shoots(I am more the 357 type) but all the guys love it at our club....isnt it about time for the fall safety courses to start..you could spend your Sunday's on that....what a bummer... ;D

Heck, we can't guys out for helping clean up the grounds, let alone safety courses. Although the NRA guy was trying to get the club to have them there weekly.......but when we weighed the pros and cons, the cons won. They pretty much tried to take the club house over the last time they had stuff for NRA. We got an indoor range, the outside ranges, and with the way people let their kids run around with out being paid attention to, there's an accident waiting to happen. But we figure we'll start "beautifying" the club now :DI got the one flower bed in.....I'm really able to girly it up now ;D ;DAin't like anyone will complain, it they do, I'll just tell them to come dig it up......they're too lazy to do that ::)even
