I was talking to my dh about how expensive things were this year as far as P aul being a senior!!!!Pictures, year book, supplies, not to mention the clothes that I have already told Paul it is the last year I am buying them!!! Oh and let's don't forget the lunches for school.....they are getting higher and higher!!! Anyway I didn't know Paul was in the next room listening to me He went to the store and bought food for his lunch....he is now carrying a "cold lunch" to school and eating it in his car with his friends. I told him he didn't need to do that....he said it was no big deal....it beat waiting in line for 30 minutes in the cafeteria!!! He does keep up the upkeep on his car...oil change...new tires...not to mention the price of gas. Darn...I feel alful....I wish I had known he was listening!

Aww, how sweet that he cares how much money you are spending. If only my own kids realized the cost of things and why I cant buy them every thing they ask for.

It is a rough year for me emotionally. He has grown so much in maturity. I still have it in me for the sky to fall You never ever get over all the frustrations...hurt....the sheer hell sometimes of raising a ADHD child All he can talk about sometimes is when he is 18....he will be moving into his own place....omg that makes me soooo sad. I joke with him that it will take a bulldozer to clean out his room.

Kaiti....I worried so much about Paul when he was younger. I didn't think he would ever write so I could read it....I can now...It is not the best writing...but then again a lot of people could improve on theirs!!! His behavior issues I could write a book about We were talking about some of the things he did and said when he was younger...and he said ..did I really do that? How could he not remember? The phone calls from school? I still shudder ;D ;D

My mom used to tell me I was just like my dad...oops ;D ;D ;D Jacob's teacher was telling me how antsy he was in class...always moving I told her it wasn't a big deal because my whole family was like that. ;D ;D ;D I said as long as he was able to focus on his work(he does) I really didn't see a problem!! ;D ;D

That's part of Mikey's problem....he wants to get to the good stuff and skip the boring stuff, like writing and reading

Linda I agree with Kaiti...you have done an exceptional job with Paul. I can't wait to see that day with Cami...she overhears us talking about all the expenses involving her we just get called "cheap". I think it does take growing, maturing, and even earning their own money to start truly seeing the value of a dollar.

:oIn first and second grade I just got the usual sign this slip saying you know the rules........yeah, and somewhere it says that they will follow them ;D ;D ;D ;D And PICTURES are next Tuesday.......God they are getting expensive. $23.00 a pop there, and I won't see a paycheck til the 30th I told the kids I wasn't going to get anything for them but I bought a thing of pencils and they each got a box of crayons.....until I get a list from their teachers. Now Christy, when ever Cami is on, she can see I AM the cheap one ;D ;D

Yep, in the last couple month we have spent dnag near 400.00 on clothes, probably another 100.00 on school supplies, 50.00 for her swimming the last three weeks of August, 70.00 on two competition swimsuits, and 195.00 Tuesday night for registration and the first month's swim team dues...but we are cheap. Yeah, right!!!

Yikes Christy, ya'll been water'n that money tree out back pretty good. Looks like a good harvest this year. ;D On a smaller scale, Nate had $7.50 to spend at the water park. He spent it all on snacks and wondered if I could buy him a gift at the end of the day. ;D ;D. I told him to go and plant his tree, which he did, a chestnut tree. Hmmm in 50 years he can harvest and sell.... I guess he gets it afterall. Miles
