No way--they would have only 1 set of clothes if I did that! ;D Of course as long as DS likes that set, he would be fine with wearing the same clothes every day!

Gulp!! Guilty as charged!! .. ... and they are all US brands too which unfortunately can cost us nearly double here in the UK unless I get them on ebay and that helps keep the price down a little !! Sam loves Academics, Phat Farm, Ecko etc and of course Nike, Reebok etc..... We look at around £100 for a tracksuit ($170) and around £120 ($200) for a pair of sports shoes.. This is why I want to get to New York at some point for a shopping trip ... !! Apparently it can save us $ hundreds on this sort of gear !! ...

Well they do have a few name brand cloths, but I either got them used or on clearence sale. I just love to find a good sale!!!! other wise they get what they think looks best and fits best no mater what the brand. Luckily they would rather have more cloths than only a few name brand. I took them to Steve and Barrys in the mall in Abilene, and they fell in love with it. Everything is under $10. jeans, shorts, t-shirts, polo shirts, hoodies, button down shirts, etc. Its great when you can spend $100 and walk out of a store with 10 items of clothing. including a jean skirt and a pair of jeans. Dans most expensive jeans he got this year were $25 from target. Otherwise we went to wal-mart and got him some for $17. Ambers were around $10 - $15.

I have to admit I do, but in moderation. If it's way over the top, the answer is no...but I have to give Cami credit, she has learned that she can get more if the price is less. We WILL spend a lot, but on several things, not just one or two. I've seen her look at a pair of jeans in Dillard's, see the price tag and then go, "no way! I can get two pairs of jeans at Charlotte Russe for that!" She automatically knows that if it's over-priced not to even think about it. I have to say though she is a good shopper for her money! We also have this great "consignment" type shop here called Plato's Closet. Anyone else have one of these in their town? It's only teen clothes, GENTLY used, name brands. This is where she buys the majority of her jeans. She can pick up a pair of name brand jeans for half the cost of them new in a mall store. Shirts are mostly the baby tees with the cute saying or pictures...some Old Navy, some Aeropostle, some Hot Topic. Though she wears Aeropostle, the tees they have are always very reasonably priced. She usually picks them up two for 20.00. Her biggest ticket item and "must have" this year was a pair of black Converses. They put me out 50 bucks. Her favorite stores though are Hot Topic and Charlotte Russe. We went through about 350.00 when we bought her school clothes recently , but we did get alot for our money. Where she USED to be more concerned with name brands, now she is more concerned about how it looks on her, if it's fashionable, "in style", and flattering to her blossoming figure.

Of course I buy Bud designer clothes....at the resale shops ONLY ;D ;D but then EVERYTHING else is plain jane normal. Thank God Bud understands about budgets and money...shoot he didn't even know he was wearing the " Designer" stuff until his friend told him. ;D And I only paid at most 1.50 for each shirt. He also gets alot from my best friend who has grown boys with good paying jobs and a taste for fashion. There is no way we could ever afford to pay that much for shoes...I would fall over dead if I paid 100.00 or more for shoes...I thought 35. was bad. ;D Hey I didn't even know what Hurley was till Bud told me...I thought I was buying him used farm tractor company t-shirts. ;D

M/C ... apart from making me laugh loudly (because that post was funny!!) .. this sounds downright SMART to me!! ;D In fact I suspect you are like my sister ... that woman (my sister) can SMELL a good bargain from miles away!! ... She comes home from shopping with a few items that she "somehow" found for almost NOTHING and they are honestly just GREAT and worth WAY more originally than she ended up paying for them!! ... Last Christmas she had on this really GREAT top which she had "found" for £1 !! I seriously don't know how she does it!! I don't seem to be ANY good at ALL at sniffing out bargains!! ... I just KNOW that top wouldn't have "BEEN" there if I had been looking!! ;D I reckon that SOME people have this gift and others just DON'T !! .. I think you might be one of the ones WITH it and I am sadly not ... but OH I am really trying to learn!! ;D ;D

OMG with three kids and massive school supply lists WHO can afford designer clothes for them, let alone me. Specially with the prices of things up here, and being a newly single parent.. for what a pair of NIKE shoes cost, I can buy one of the kids 4 pairs of jeans, and 4 shirts and sock and undies too. ITS crazy

we have odds and ends of designer names in all of our closets but all have been bought on sale. although i have to say i buy expensive shoes because i have so much trouble with my feet. but then i have two pairs of tennis shoes (1 black for work and 1 white) and a pair of sandals. i've never been impressed with name brands as a whole. maybe because i was never thin enough to wear them and look good. we didn't have money growing up so i didn't grow up with much except what my mom made me. since i never bought them to start with, it hasn't been hard to not buy them for my kids either. karen

Hot Topic is a biggie for Paul too!!! I usually find great buys at yard sales....but I was sooo darn busy this summer I didn't get to many. I too try to find sales but it seems like this year I was having a hard time finding his size. Or I waited too long

My kids get walmart or kmart stuff, but then again they are not teens yet. I try to buy the stuff on sale and get it big enough that it will last them more than 1 year. It also helps that they are only 2 years apart but very close in size.
