Ok, where Linda hates winter because of the "s" word and we all know it, let me make it officially known that I hate summer because of the humidity! We have a heat index of 110 predicted today!! You know it's going to be a rough day when the weather man's forcast for the day is simply "humid", and they advise that unless you just really need to get out, stay inside. That is easier said then done when your grass is getting knee high. We have a heat advisory for the day! It is sooooo frickin' humid out you can't do ANYTHING! I went out into my garage and spent about 5 minutes clearing some things out of my CRV and came back in feeling like I need a shower! Friday night was the Avril Lavigne concert I took Cami to. It was in an outdoor venue so we came home that night soaked with sweat! Yesterday we attempted to get out and cut some grass, and I vaccumed out my CRV and trimmed some bushes. I started feeling sick to my stomach and hadto stop and come in. We talked about taking the boat out, but unless we keep it moving at all times which would cost too much gas money, it is too hot to do so! Anyway I am just rambling and ranting... I just needed to get it out! I am SOOOOOO ready for fall! edited to say: OMG!!! I just saw the temp on the Weather Channel! It is only 11:30 am and our temp is already 90 with a heat index of 99! This is ridiculous!

Christy, what you think ,would Andy and Jouni say if we switch homes for a while I can imagine the humidity part but I hate this cold weather too........ I´ve never been in any place with 110% humidity index, so I dont really know what you´re talking about, but it has to be better than this schilly feeling in here...

He'd probably be all for it for a while!! I don't think he could post billboards in the snow y'all get, but then again it's pretty rough on him to do in this humidity too! Funny you should bring it up because yesterday I was ranting about how I want to move somewhere, ANYwhere that doesn't have this kind of heat or humidity and he said, "Where would that be? You go west like Vegas or Phoenix you don't have such humidity but you have extreme heat, and even north (like we've heard from Linda and Trid) has dealt with this high humidity this summer!" So I said, "ok, well, we'll move to Europe!!" ;D ;D Linda I see where a "cold" front has come down through Michigan and other parts north of us... they are hoping it can make it down our way later in the week. My fingers are crossed!!

Anday was saying just yesterday he can't wait to see some lows of around 60 and highs of around 80. I told him 70 would be more like it for me! I like it to be cool enough for a sweatshirt but not so cold I have to break out a coat. Reckon' I'm hard to please? ;D

OMG Christy that is HOTT !!! I am suddenly feeling almost "grateful" for the climate in the UK because although we get way too much rain and we have cold, damp winters we never get that searing heat that you are describing!! ... For example it is about 74 F here today and the sun is shining ... its really VERY pleasant!! ... However, I DO know what you mean about humidity! .. Our humidity is in fact very high in the UK and in the winter this can make the cold "feel" far worse than it is and "get right into you" !! BUT ... that incessant heat can definitely get way too much !! ... Being brought up in Australia that was my NUMBER ONE thing against living in Australia - the relentlessly HOT summers !! I really feel for you !! ... and I hope it gets cooler SOON ... Maybe Linda can send some of that front down your way?? What sort of temperatures do you get in Georgia in the winter?

We got the same again today...forcast high of 97 with heat index of 110. They are actually advising everyone to stay inside. Yeah, well, tell that to my husband. They don't build indoor billboards. lol I woke up this morning at 3:20 am, central air set to 76 and ceiling fan on and was sweating! You know it's hunid out when you wake up hot! We have kids walking to and from school in this crap! Last week there was a little girl that passed out when she got too hot while playing outside at school. This just proves what alot of people say about early August being too soon for school to start back!
We are supposed to be getting some relief later in the week. That is if the front doesn't stall out before it gets here like they usually do. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Friday Dan had football, he played on JV and varsity. Luckily they were only scrimmages so only one hour each. It was so hot and humid, that we had one mom pass out in the concession stand line and taken to the hospital by ambalence. My Dad was there and had to leave early because he felt sick, and barely made it home. He said he got to the driveway and was staggering around like he was drunk because he was so disorented. My husband was at work, and almost passed out and got very weak. On Saturday I took the kids shopping for school cloths, and Dan was having a hard time breathing. Not an asthma attack, thank goodness, just a hard time. I kept having to go somewhere so he could sit in air conditioning and have a cool drink. Not a very good weekend to be out and about.

Vick and Alla, yep, I know y'all get it too! I have an uncle that lives in Texas and when my bro isn't in Iraq he calls it home too. The times we've been there it's been just like it is here. Indeed the humidity is hell! Right now, at 8:25 am our humidity is already 93%, with dewpoint of 71..but this morning was actually better than yesterday. Go figure. Vick, y'all be careful at those games! At least when Cami's doing her "thing" she's in the water so I don't have to worry. I work right next to a middle school so every afternoon when I get off I see the boys out practicing for football and worry so much about them. It wasn't uncommon when I worked at the school I worked at to have fellows in the office in the afternoon sick from the heat... Anyway, tell Dan to keep water with him at all times. Hopefully this crap will break soon!
