Wow Sue, that article really makes you see the hell your dealing with right now. Again I am so sorry for this and send hugs. As far as you losing your temper, I wouldn't sweat it! I'm sure people understand that everyone's "on edge" and tempers can flare when you are dealing with such loss and lack of sleep. Besides, call me a bad mom and see what I do even in "normal" circumstances! lol

Glad to see things are chugging along. Communication is always a pain At least the kids can take part and feel like they helped out and feel good that they are contributing to a good cause.

Sue....That guy is a jerk for what he said to you. You have been through your own personal tragedy and he has the nerve to call you a bad mom I am really sorry we have jerks like him in this world For the most part it sounds like there were a lot of supportive people during this devastation. That makes up for a little of what that idiot said to you.

I am sending more prayers also..when we got hit they didn't provide dumpsters either ..the big ones were like 700. to rent and 400 to dump each load....after all the people lost everything they actually charge for such stuff. Are they giving out free tetnus shots atleast..if so you should probably all update.. during our clean up I got a nail and a piece of glass thru my work boot. We all did atleast get free tetnus shots from the red cross. One thing that angered us was the sight see'ers and the media always being in the way....also the looters. One would think when things are bad people would be understanding. good luck...I know how tired you must be...it does get better and the mess aint going anywhere so be sure to get some rest. good luck

He called you a bad mother? I don't think so! My thought is, he is such a jerk... no wonder he isn't a mother! HA,HA,HA!
The way I see it, you spoke up about a problem. Now it can be addressed. If no one speaks up, nothing can be done! You did the town a favor by speaking.
And I have left my kids home alone, being watched by the oldest, from the age of 11. Once I had to call the police from work when the kids came home from school and the front door was wide open. The police got to the house before I did and no one said a single word about my kids being home alone at that age. Your kids didn't cause the tornados, and they didn't get hurt because they were alone. There are lots of kids in this country who have been scared by tornados, even when they are secure in the arms of their own parents. I don't know when the kids were alone, but if they were allowed home alone before this, then I am all for getting them back into their old routine as soon as possible. They will never know how to feel safe again if you allow them to live in fear now.
HUGS and PRAYERS continue.
PLEASE, let us know if you need anything we can send to you or the town. I have so many boxes of out grown clothes and all sorts of other valuable "junk", that we want to help our dear friend if you need anything we have.

Sue,
I am originally from Madison. My brother and his family live in Stoughton as does a portion of my grandfathers family. Fortunately they are ok. I was on vacation in northern WI when I saw the footage on the Today show. My husband I were horrified to see and hear all of the devastation.
I know that recovery from something like this is difficult but I know what wonderful people Wisconsinites are! I will continue to pray for all of you in the Stoughton and Viola areas.
Chris
