I just clipped this a few minutes ago and it really made me think what a fantasy land professional athletes think they live in, as well as the entourage that goes with it. It is beyond ridiculous and beyond reality. This is just a game of basketball for crying out loud. It is not brain surgery (they don't even get that much). GRRRRR "We wanted to make sure that Shaquille was being compensated well into his career," Rogers told The Associated Press. "We also wanted to make sure he was paid his value. And it was important the Heat had flexibility they need in the short-term to win a championship.
"It's about winning."
O'Neal was vacationing Tuesday in Rome; Heat doctors will fly there Wednesday to administer a physical. In a statement released by the team, he said he was "very excited" about the deal.
"This contract allows me to address all of my family's long-term financial goals while allowing the Heat the ability to acquire those players that we need to win a championship," O'Neal said. What kind of financial goals could his family possibly have? Perhaps he is going to fly all the parents and their children of this board to the best Dr. there is and with the other $19 million.....

I usually don't let this kind of stuff get to me, but being a Philly fan and Terrell Owens eeking it in to training camp the other day.......his manager sayin ghe might not make it........ Heaven forbid his 49 million 7 yr contract WITH a nice signing bonus could keep him from his job Which by the way he feels he deserves more compensation and he's only into his second year :ommmmmmmmmmm, can you say get a real life Sorry struck a cord
