I remember one time I was spanked by my mom with her hand and I did not cry. She got out the wooden mixing spoon. The tears were a flowing then. Miles I bet they were! ;D Sorry, I know it's not funny! You know I don't remember ever being spanked. My mom would always put me on restriction.... six weeks.... and stick to it! But like Miles, the punishments I inflict never seem to make a difference... no matter what kind. Ask ;D ;D ;D MY kids about the wooden spoon

Here is the fine line with spanking your child. You can spank your child when ever needed, HOWEVER>. YOU CAN NOT enjoy it and cant leave marks.. ;D so says child services.. SO lets all stock up on feather dusters , cause when I got a spanking, I have finger prints and a red spot.. unless you put 29 layers of clothes on your child BEFORE you spank them.. only way NOT to leave prints, marks or whatever.. but then the "time out chair" leaves butt prints too .. so where is the Logic.. lol

I use to bring the wooden spoon with me in the car for those long car rides~~~worked great to shake it and ask " Do you want me to stop this car?" ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Funny thing is I actually broke a wooden spoon during a course of punishment and that made the boys laugh even harder ;D ;D ;D ;D and for me it didn't matter how hard I hit them it didn't leave any marks~~just the boys laughing harder at me but point was they knew when they went to far.

Someone told me that a wooden dowl rod about the thickness of a pencil is just right. It really stings and if it's used too hard it will break instead of hurting the kid badly.
