Yes it stinks it takes so long to get the evaluations, testing etc done... While the child is continuely falling behind...
I dont know if it will work, but could you try to "push" them by implying the school will be funding ESY (extended school year) for your child if she isnt up to speed with the rest of kids?? Maybe an idle (or maybe not idle) threat would get them moving... Obviously the schools arent keen on funding that, but they can be made too...
I know how overwhelming it is to walk in a room with all these professionals, who are throwing around ackronymns like they are every day words!!! Very frustrating... Hang in there mom!! Good luck
